    I'm in Illinois.

I voted mostly Libertarian except for Republicans for Governor, State Senate, and State Rep. I voted for the Democrat Sheriff, and I refused to vote for either the D or R for US Rep. There were no other candidates running and write-ins were not allowed.

Although the D for US Rep voted for Obamacare the R refused to answer my questions on his FB page, though he did answer many others. I simply wanted him to reply to the Campaign for Liberty questionnaire and he did not. So even though I wanted to vote for him I did not. Gotta be able to look at myself in the mirror, must have some principles.

what do you mean you couldn't write in? i do it all the time.

i will be voting none of the above for governer, senate and us reps and state reps. i will be voting straight republican for any cook county position, including county commissioner, sheriff and board president. i refuse to vote chicago democrat for anything.

In Illinois if no one files a declaration of intent to be a write in candidate for a race, there is no write in line made available on the ballot for that race. Someone has until 61 days prior to the election to notify the election official that they want to be a write in candidate. If no one files to be a write in for an office, the election official doesn't have to put a write in line. This is designed to cut down on ballot length.

I assume that's what he means.

what? accepting non-negotiable offers for votes (i thought that was how it's done all the time lol!) or just writing in clowns to rival the clowns that are already there?
either way, does anyone EVER take me seriously? ha! I think NOT ;)

Wouldn't it be great if there was a "none of the above" option? If the majority on local elections voted none of the above, it would be scrapped and have to be done all over again with new candidates.

I couldn't bring myself to vote for Rick Perry for Gov, he's nothing but a used car salesman. And Bill White is completely incompetent. I found myself voting Lib.

left a lot of them blank. didn't vote for the fiscally conservative school superintendent, our state is almost last as it is on dollars/student, and he was going to cut even more.

i like the "none of the above" idea, if enough people check it they have to start over and give us candidates worth voting for.

In New York, I voted for the two republicans for attorney general and controller, the sole reason being they were not associated with the embarrassment that is the New York State Legislature.
