Well, I'm thinking they wouldn't have sent it out as a e-mail blast if it wasn't for real. Here's what was in the message....

All ticket packages include guaranteed seats for all shows, VIP parking, club access and more. And by the way, I moved here 6 months ago and you know what? Austin is a freaking OASIS period! I love it here.

It is indeed. I've been around Austin for 10 years now and can't get enough of it, even if they keep putting condos up every other day. It's the best place in Texas, peronal bias notwithstanding.

Forget thinking just Texas, I've lived in Richmond VA, Atlanta, am from Miami originally, and lived in Seattle as well. Austin is the best place I've ever lived. I'm planning on staying for the duration....

I wonder if these shows will be with Alice in Chains like a station from Florida has mentioned according to a few posters here? PJ at Smirnoff will be great, hopefully they play Houston too. I've got to go to more than one show this time around.

You almost have 2 look at it that the south will get some love this year. It's almost a no brainer. Especially with the election this year. I'm sorry Europe but you have a political year in the "States" so PJ is staying home this year.

No, that's in Austin, but if they announce a show in Austin or a show in Dallas in Sep. then it probably means they will play ACL too.
My god its been so long, never dreamed we'd return.

    meh.

they may still write political songs, but i think they're (as a whole) out of trying to influence politics.
they haven't exactly had very good experience with it, after all.

i might have missed it (not sarcastic), but ed wasn't involved, was he?
if he's not there...well, then i don't consider that the 'band as a whole'

i'm not saying he won't vote for barack, i'm just saying as a whole, they might not be truly be trying to influence anything. it's not like their views to their fans would be anything new.
and to those who aren't PJ fans, PJ isn't exactly on a publicity kick to bring new people to PJ.

don't think i'm too far off base with my thought. could be wrong, though.

I would think that if they play dallas and austin, they would be inclined to play houston and / or san antonio as well. We could all wish for the Texas quadruple i guess.

But considering other posts about possible NE dates in June and July, we'll have to wait and see about all this.
