Hey, Congress - investigate THIS!!!!

Maybe take a break from Roger Clemens and Bill Bellichek and look at ticket "brokers." I know, I know - too much bitching here. But do a Google search for "Vedder tickets." The "brokers" (somehow) have 100s, if not 1000's. I am bummed. I would have camped on a sidewalk for the whole week :(.
If I had known then what I know now...

    How do you know that brokers have 100s (if not 1000s)??? Did you realize that most "ticket brokers" on the internet are hooked into the same system and list the same exact tickets for events on multiple sites???

    I didn't know that. I'll take your word. But, IMHO, they still have more than they should :( because I did EVERYTHING I could do with no luck.

    i think we should all bid on those tix on fleabay and not pay them. that way those scalpers will be stuck with them until performance day

    this is nothing new
    its been going on for years if not decades-but it has gotten worse

    If you recall a certain band tried to raise this issue with congress
    dealing with a concert ticket monopoly is not exactly high on our national agenda right now

    Heres my take onthe whole TM thing:
    I have a friend that can make a call and get great face value tickets to ANY show, ANY time

    why?
    becuase TM hold the best ticekts for VIPs, friends and family, service providers and advertisers. If my dad owned amex how hard would it be to make a call and get great seats to any of the EV shows? IT wouldnt be hard at all. Piece of cake. The number of tickets withheld has increased.

    why?
    because the internet brokers and the auction sites have made it easy for everyone to make buck selling tickets-so more people are cashing in on their connections across the country

    add fan club sales
    internet presales
    and its not suprising that there are few if any seats available when you get through at 10 am. There are almost no tickets being sold.
