Man on the Moon

I held the Keys
I was a man on the moon
I saw the tides of time,I road the wave to your door
I spent a life time looking for you.

Of all these thing I had only one could set me free
And I only wanted to share it with you and my dream
But a man on the moon is so far away
And you don't know but I always had my eye on you.

The whispers that come to you in the night
will help to show you the way
so close your eyes and dream
And the man on the moon will find you some day.

I have a sun dial and a bag of sand
I stole from the hands of time just to share with you
But the man on the moon is so far away
and so afraid to fall but...
I will always have my eye on you.

So next time you look up and have the full moon in your eye's
I'll be there beside you to wake you from your dream
To share a stolen bag of sand and a sundial to stop the hands of time.

Can you see the man on the moon
He's so far away but standing in a dream right next to you
The man on the moon will find you some day.

    The full moon looks like my Dad to me
    There's not a time that I see a full moon
    that I don't think of his round face and smiling eyes.
    This is a keeper for me, I can relate to each line,
    It brought a tear, I miss him, hope he finds me soon in a dream.

    Thank you all very much but when I wrote it I felt like I had a good idea and after reading it I feel I could have done better,Pandi your reply almost brought a tear....ahhh big boys don't cry. ;)
