Tears for detectives

Sometimes I feel like crying out of the blue
and really, I have to take that as a clue
that I'm not understanding the whole concoction going on
underneath, somewhere inside, what's beyond
while this conscious mind is apparently driving,
what's beneath this conscious mind must be minding
the store
a bit more
