Braves released Melky. Shitty trade for both teams. Boone Loogan has probably been the most productive piece of the trade. Pretty crazy.

So, don't Melky's struggles in the National League kind of debunk all that stupid AL is Superior shit?

I think with a guy like Cabrera, it's one of those the more you see of him, the more he gets exposed. Also worth noting is that this article describes him as taking bad routes to the ball defensively and looking lackadasical in the field. Plus hitting four home runs and a .631 OPS didn't help his cause either.

We all know he stinks, but it seemed like he stunk less with the Yankees. Whatever - who gives a shit? Sorry I perpetuated the Melky talk.

Similar to a Yanks/Phils World Series!! No one cares! Phils/Rays was probably the worst one ever mainly because of the weather. A west coast or east series is always bad for baseball!

Probably one of the more popular world series just because the Rangers have never won one and the Giants have never won in SF! Underdog story of the year!! We will see! If it's the Yanks or Phils fox can continue this handjob they've been giving both these teams! :)

Unless someone's a NY or PHI fan I doubt they want a rematch of NY PHI. It sucked last year, and it will suck even more this year. Go TEX and SF.

Did anyone else see that SF paraded Barry Bonds out before the game today. Are you fn' kidding me? This guy is hands down "THE" biggest disgrace in the game, and possibly in all of sports. Why would you parade him out. The SF fans that cheered him should be ashamed of themselves. I don't want PHI to win this series but I think the baseball gods will have their way with this one.

Fuck that dude, Barry bonds gave sf 15 years of some of the greatest baseball you will ever see played. Yes, he cheated but he is also one of the greatest hitters to ever play the game. San fran loves bonds and should. I am not a fan of his but he is the best hitter I have ever seen play.

I hate when people act like steroids took some sort of joy out of baseball. Sure, players cheated but some of my favorite baseball memories are from this time and that will never change

he looks about 30 pounds lighter too...circa early/mid nineties bonds  .what a fraud.

i'm a little surprised fox didn't play up the bonds/howard angle more today...especially after another hit to left. seems like an interesting story that a national audience not familiar with it would enjoy hearing.
