Navigation star
flashing, flickering, shining, shimmering
never waning
chopping oceans
storms; catastrophe
navigation star
looking skywards, orientate;
hope and leap
Distant ship closing sailing
ever gaining steam, gravity
churning ploughing onwards
beyond retreat, beyond defeat
steering us towards distant shore
ever fixed, focus
ever visible, streaming onwards
and always in my eyeline
foghorn sounding nightly
clearing the way
showing a way
steaming
streaming
towards the day
Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection
Send my credentials to the house of detention

    No - you are right! I'm not sure any poem can do justice to Pearl Jam, but you just have to try from time to time!!
