Let's show some love for this amazing song.

I am listening to this song from New Years Eve '92 and wish this version sounded cleaner, it's cool fast.

I do absolutely love the regular version of the song so much to.

What are everyone's thoughts on this song?

After Release, which I got to hear in Boston. My #1 opener that I want to hear live.

It is so hard to describe, but I just absolutely love that guitar work at the 2:13 - 2:52ish mark of the song, it so eerie and just so amazing!! Love hearing the song while driving in the rain (which was actually when I first really fell in love with the song (which is rare in AZ) )

Never had it live, and it's at the top of my list. Epic tune.

Wow...the first time I heard it I was away at some training for my job, missing my girlfriend at the time and it was raining while I was driving too...in a place that it rarely rains. Not the most earth shattering coincidence, but a coincidence nonetheless

Everyone should check out Finsbury Park 6th June 1992 performance if you haven't already. Absolutely awesome.

Always been solid throughout the years, love listening to any given version from any point in PJ's career! Would be such a treat to get Wash at a show, hopefully someday that will happen!

I still get chills from the memory when I hear it on the Philly '05 boot. Wash as an opener is unbelievable.

Took me a lot of shows to finally see it (Ottawa '05) and I was ecstatic when I heard the opening chords. Now I've seen it a few times. Great opener, and as good of a mood setter as they have in their catalog.

Wash is the song you seem to get at the "big shows". Not my favorite opener. In fact it's probably at the bottom of my list. I've heard it six times, and even missed it at few close shows I tried to go to. I've only heard Oceans one sweet time. I'd rather have Oceans, Release, Sometimes, Long Road, Can't Keep, Unthought known, Of the Girl, Hard to imagine... But I would take wash over Severed Hand, LBC, or any fast non-traditional opener (Go, Even Flow, Corduroy, Why go, Gonna see my friend).

Me too! I walked around London before the Hyde Park gig wishing for it as opener and wishing for a little rain shower to cool us down. Don't
think it should be kept as an opener though, it was great in the encores in Pittsburgh 2000. Love the fast version too and hope to hear either live somewhere on the next tour.
