Ten Years Ago Today, Detroit. Question: Is it just me or does the setlist seen short for this show (24 Songs)?

  • This was a great show. Had great seats too. When looking back at the 2000 tour I would say that this shows length was normal. It wasnt until the 2003 tour that shows really started to get into the 30+ song range. Also if I remember correctly most second encores were only 2 songs. That has also changed over the years as the 2nd encore is as long as the first if not longer in some cases.

Seemed so at the time. This was my second PJ show. Didn't blow me away, but it was good. I loved the setlist then, and still do now. ID, Tremor Christ, Crazy Mary (pre-Boom, and when Ed still sang it in the lower registers...). I remember Go to start really pumped me up....
Haven't listened to the full boot in a while, so i don't remember the whole flow. It does hav one of the coolest Betterman moments ever: good tag at the end, AND a great solo Ed guitar Intro! Worth listening too. Ed's guitar goes crazy out of tune at the end, probably broken string...Ruins what would've been my favorite boot version....

My favorite memory of this show was that i had horrible seats, but not quite horrible as my first PJ show. First show: Mike's side, last seat at the top of the upper arena, last seat towards the back of the stage. 2nd show (this one): First row.....of the upper level of the arena. But straight away from the stage. Anyways, first row of the upper bowl is not the best place to pogo at your craziest to Fuckin Up (thanks!!!) when there is only a 3 foot tall plexi shield between you and imminent death. My wife was constantly grabbing me by the back of my jeans to avoid an arena dive.....

    cheers!!!

That is an incredible bootleg. I love listening to that one.

The opening 5 songs are on fire.

Great Show. But, to answer your question, YES, it was a very short show. That was my only disappointment , that there weren't more songs played. Never was quite sure why it was so short. The energy was really good, with a setlist that had a real good vibe to it.

Great show...I remember it was really cold that day.

I think there were even snow flurries while waiting on line to get into the show.

"Nothing As It Seems" was great...Eddie screws up the lyrics but recovers nicely and turns it into an awesome version.
  • Good bootleg from that show. Didn't get to attend it ... PJ PLZ COME BACK TO MICHIGAN :D

My third show, as I live in Detroit. I didn't really know anything about encores or duration. I didn't care I was just finally happy to be at the scene. My first two shows were a couple months prior to that back-to-back in Cincy/Columbo...What the hell was I doing for 10 years before that?!?!

I was at this show - great show all around. Only negative was this douchebag a couple rows in front of us throwing his lit cigarettes into the crowd all show long. Cannot believe he made it out of there in one piece.
