Wedding Song Help!!
Im getting married on October 10th and need some suggestions on what song, whether it be Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, or any cover song they have done that would be a good Son and Mother dance. Ive gotten a couple suggestions but looking for some more input from you guys. Thanks!
Also Ten Club and PJ, Im still waiting for your response card. So let me know how many of you are coming? : ) Eitherway see you after the honeymoon at Bridge School Night 2!
Thanks again,
Nick

Mother/Son dance?
-Wishlist - although that might be more husband/wife type of song
- Smile - the rhythym is upbeat and people who aren't familar with it will just hear "don't it make you smile" and it kinda fits with the festive occasion
- Betterman is kind of an obvious pick but also more husband/wife
- Faithfull, not sure why i picked it but i like it
Betterman...really...? Do not play this song at your wedding...It is not a positive happy song. It is not about there not being a better man out there. I think it is more about a women being stuck somewhere she is not happy with and not having faith that there is a better man available...so she stays, miserable, and unhappy. "Can't find a better man" is a lament, not a declaration.
Go with Just Breathe, or Amongst the Waves (which Ed says is about love gone good -Vancouver'09, Hartford '10)

I know the meaning is an woman in an unhappy relationship but I have heard of people playing it before at weddings, I don't know maybe the rhythm? But who cares it's not up to us
I got married on Oct 11 in 2008 and tried hard to get that to be my first dance with my wife. didnt happen, but we def played that song.
if you want a PJ song, Parting Ways....

long road
Neil Young - Harvest Moon (Jerome230's choice) & Heart Of Gold
Eddie Vedder - Better Days
Johnny Cash - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face & We 'll Meet Again
Foo Fighters - Miracle
Walking down the aisle to Mother Love Bone (I will be the only person who will know this, but whatever)
We are doing Thin Air as a reading during the ceremony.
During the cocktail party before the reception, I will be playing through the stereo system the following:
Come Back
Smile,
Hail, Hail
Breakerfall
Long Road
Around the Bend
You Are
Golden State
Love Reign Oer Me
Soldier of Love
Oceans
When people are walking into the reception, I want Guaranteed played (the humming version)
Then...we are going to dance to Parachutes, I think
Then, for our guests, we are going to Play Harvest Moon with our band and a Pixies song
We are going to be announced to bliztkrieg bop by the Ramones
and I just need a song for the cake cutting...I was thinking Arc
As I read this over, the guests are really gonna be sick of pearl jam by the end of the evening..but fuck em its my wedding
I don't actually suggest this, but it would be pretty funny.
