Ed should put out another solo album during the bands down time.

It doesn't have to be a big event. Sell it through the Ten Club.

He hammered out Into the Wild in a few short weeks. I think he could really put something great together again.

    Into the Wild's short writing period really seemed to help. It took 3 years to make Backspacer, and it wasn't close to ITW in terms of songwriting, but ITW took a few weeks and it was amazing. I definitely wouldn't mind Eddie hammering out another album, though.

    Let the lads "Just Breathe" for a while! Hate to see Ed blow his voice and have to cut a show short again.I heard they had loads of songs left over from the Backspacer recordings and a new album could be out sooner rather than later?

    There were vague rumours a while ago of Ed's uke album from 2000 surfacing before the end of the year. Now that I'd love to hear.

    this song is beautiful ... simple ... harmonic ... inspiring ... melodic ... it also represents imo all that is great about eddie vedder ... connecting with people who believe in the power of self when set free from societal constructs ...

    edit: the movie the song was attached to was shit beyond belief tho ... 8-)

    Half of me wants Ed to do a solo album, and half of me would rather see him come up with some amazing stuff FOR PJ's next album.

    They didn't spend the whole three years making Backspacer. They worked on other projects. It was actually one of their quickest albums they've made and was recorded and produced in a month.

    I didn't say he had to tour.. A few days off is enough to rest your voice. Spending a few hours in the studio is not going to blow his voice.

    Would that not be wonderful? A new Eddie creation to love. That would make my life a whole lot happier :D

    some of the best tunes my former band wrote together were complete in that amount of time. our best one, actually, my guitarist brought in to rehearsal. He started playing the main riff, my singer at the time had a lightbulb go on, rifled through his lyric backpack and just started singing. the other 3 of us joined in and bang, it was done. it was awesome.
