    Cheesy as it can get sometimes, I love OTH! Did not watch the clip as I'm abt to watch the episode soon...can't wait to see it as I know OTH is known for their excellent use of music to give more meaning n power to the story. Thanks!

  • I've never been one to jump on the sellout train when the band allows use of their music (because honestly it's none of my business) but in this case, I gotta say I really disagree with the choice. They always talked about owning their own music so it wouldn't show up in random commercials but this is much much worse. Really guys? You need the money that much that you whore your song out to a show targeted at 14-24 year old emo girls? Hopefully Summers Eve ads come next. It just really takes away some of their integrity in my opinion.

    BUT again, it's none of my business what they do with their music. More power to them. Can't say I would pass up hundreds of thousands of dollars to include something I wrote in a teenage girl tv show either.
  • Didn't pearl jam advertise in this forum when their songs were appearing in other shows? Wonder why they didn't advertise this?

    I've never seen this show.
    &&&&&&&&&&&&&&
  • FUCK One Tree Hill. Can't believe that crapfest outlasted my favorite show The O.C. Laugh at me for liking The O.C. but that was a damn good show with damn good music for it's first two years.

    :D thought the thread would end after abt 4 posts. I happen to like OTH (and I'm far from being a teenage girl, but I must admit the current & prev season pale in comparison to what the show used to be.

    I don't agree with the comment that PJ is 'whoring out' their songs - nice phrase, btw. If this were the case we would have seen that Summer's Eve ad by now :lol::lol: or even heard a PJ song on some shameless Microsoft ad :sick:

    All that said though, I did watch the episode and thought JB shd have been played at the end - it just didn't fit the way they did it....kinda detracted from the power of the song.

    they barely advertised that stuff. It's usually from a fan on the board.

    Well, Pearl Jam pulled me away from M.C. Hammer and Vanilla Ice when I was 13, so anything is possible.

    Oddly, I see kids in bars all the time.. If I had kids I wouldn't take them there.

    BTW. That was all sorts of cheesiness. It makes me never want to love again. :lol:

    One Tree Hill is one of the worse shows in history. My fiance loves it. Every time it is on, someone is crying or struggling to get over some horrible tragedy.
