Best live versions of No Code songs?
As you may or may not know, I do a little podcast for the PJ fan called All That's Sacred. We play lots great music as well as offer some context and commentary about the fan experience. Some time ago on ATS #10 url]http://www.allthatssacred.net/2009/07/all-thats-sacred-10.html[/url, we went completely commentary-free and recreated the album Ten with listener-suggested live tracks. It was one of the most popular early episodes. Here more recently, there seems to be a groundswell for giving No Code the same treatment. So I'm asking for your help. What, in your opinion, are the best live versions of the songs off No Code?
Thanks in advance. I look forward to diving into this and cranking it out in the coming weeks.

In My Tree from MSG 1, 03 and Melbourne 3, 98.
Off He Goes from Benaroya. Habit, Prague, 00.
And, given it's one of my favorites live, most versions of Hail, Hail are sick.
Lukin - St. Paul 6/16/03 (this one is unique you could say - Ed is sick and tells a fan up front who is requesting Lukin that he can't sing it, but later he invites the guy up on stage and lets him sing the whole thing. not too shabby from what it sounds like on the bootleg and an all around hilarious/memorable moment)
No time to be void, or save up on life, you've got to spend it all
Red Mosquito - Austin 10/4/09

Just listened to this for the first time. Great stuff.
Pearl Jam bootlegs:

Haha! He sounds like Billy Corgan would singing it!
For Habit it just HAS to be Fresno 2000. Eddie puts some immense anger into every little bit of it and hits every scream perfectly.
Obviously Melbourne '98 is the well known excellent version of In My Tree.
I like those versions of Hail Hail where Ed says "I don't wanna fuck I wanna feel" (see: Camden Night 2 2000, Woodlands TX Night 1 2000, Seattle Night 2 2000)
From my memory i would suggest Present Tense from Berlin 2006, it got me right where it should be.
and you gotta take red mosquito from the show where uncle neil takes over(1995 sometime in 1995, i think??).
And finally thank you very much for all the effort and love you put in your podcast's!
In My Tree - MSG 2003 DVD version
Benaroya is great for Off He Goes and Around the Bend
Who You Are - any 2008 boot is good.
Present Tense - any euro boot where crowd totally takes over!

Melbourne #3 '03
Melbourne #1 '06
Melbourne #3 '06
Melbourne '09
Melbourne '14
EDIT: Here's one from Maui. It's a nice version, that's quiet and sounds really intimate. Jack's drum fills are really lovely, but Mike's solos are a bit low in the mix. Not sure it's the best version, but it's got all the verses: http://www.pearljambootlegs.org/modules ... 3D&ext.m3u

"Sometimes" STL 2010 is also great.
"Lukin" Seattle 2000

I may have to change my mind about Habit. I was listening to Englewood , CO 1998 last night and it absofuckinlutely ROCKS!!! It is an audience boot but I think that the fact you can really hear the crowd actually makes it a better version as they really respond well to it.
Present Tense I'd go with Noblesville 2003. (I think it *just* outshines St Louis). Actually there's a great Habit from this show as well. Damn them for being so consistent!
I'm really interested to see the finished podcast.
Stone: "Alright, we're gonna kick it up a notch here...with ME!"
Genius.
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
Smile - Any version rocks.

Present Tense from DC '06 is very good. Mike plays a nice improv part at the end that goes well with the song.
It builds so so nicely and doesn't have the (for want of a better word) 'pomp' that the later versions do. So much so that when Stone starts the acoustic part in the 2nd verse it really seems to bring the song to life. ed is vocally perfect as well. Beautiful performance.
Edit: Although I agree with the above that DC 2006 Mike does do a lovely little solo over the end section.
this is the show where he sad " is my band ready" right?
thats a good one!
Red Mosquito Albany 2006 is favorite of mine.
Hope you dig!
