Hi everyone I was just wondering if anyone knew where the nearest airport to Mountain View, CA is?
Camden NJ night 1 6/19/2008 (one of the best days of my life!)

    When we went to Bridge we flew to San Fran had a hotel near the airport and drove out to Shoreline, which only was about a half hour drive. If you've never been to SF I suggest you go, so much to see and do. San Jose, not so much.

    Well thank you for that information but I am not a really tight budget. I am a poor college student so I don't think I would have any money for sight seeing. In fact after looking at the prices for a plane, I don't think I'll be able to go. And if I did go I would not be able to afford a hotel. But thanks for the tip, if I fall into money in the next week ill go to San Fan. :)

    Don't know were your travelling from? I've ordered my ticket for Sunday (wife thinks I've totally lost the plot).

    Managed to find some motels that will do 4 night stay for approx £130.00 within walking distance of Shoreline

    Apparently there is a shuttle train from San Fran Airport.

    I'm also on a really tight budget, don't know what you've found in the way of flights? :crazy:

    While San Jose is the closest, I'd definitely check out flights to Oakland and SFO as they might be cheaper.

    Hi

    I am in the UK and went to the Bridge School in 2001. I was on a holiday in Florida and managed to get a flight from Orlando to San Jose for the day of the gig and back in the early morning day after. Didn't bother with a hotel for the night. The show finished at about 11pm and getting out of the arena and away from the area is a bind as you and 20odd thousand other people are all crowding out at the same time. I went to a bar near the venue called the Sports Bar and fell in with a whole crowd of Neil Young & PJ Fans. Stayed there until about 2ish and then went on a pub crawl with a fine chap of Finnish origin called Sulo. Caught the early morning shuttle back to SJ airport at about 5 am and found that the departure lounge at the airport was full of people who had been at the show sleeping on any available horizontal suface. I then slept all the way back to Florida on the plane.
    It was almost 10 years ago and still one of the best gigs I have ever been to, fantastic memories of performances you won't ever see anywhere else (Neil & Billy Idol doing "For What It's Worth" for instance) the pain of the expense is temporary, the memories and bragging rights last forever. :D
