I was just taking a listen to Live in New York the other day, and I don't get the same energy when listening to Hammersmith Odeon '75...which still gives me chills even though I have heard it hundreds of times. Yesterday, I listened to parts of Live '75-'85, which is an incredible live document in its own right.

With the new reissue coming out and that '78 show being included, it might blow away everything I've heard from Bruce so far, at least judging from the setlist.

Someone said Live at Leeds by the Who, and I would wholly agree that is an amazing live album, even the expanded edition with the full Tommy on it.

Deep Purple's Made In Japan is right up there with the best too.

Agree the Hammersmith '75 release by Bruce is far better than LINYC. Hope in a few months time there'll be a CD release of the Houston '78 show.

I'd substitute Europe '72 for Live Dead, purely because there was a lot of studio touch up done on Europe '72.

Allman Brothers - Fillmore East is pretty much perfect though.
The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits
