Don't think I can handle two late school nights. Not as young as I used to be

Babs was saying she is too tired to go and doesn't have a ticket but will mention that you may end up with a spare to her and she may suddenly wake up!
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

Yep ... when I told her about it she said she'd be contacting you and maybe Mr Plant was what she needed

Back from the gig and Mr. Plant (and Band of Joy) were fantastic. Good to see RP in such good form. Lots of smiling - seemed to be enjoying it all.

Eventually met up with Babs inside but I had gone in with an early entry, so not able to hand her my ticket. But she managed to find one!

Mega steam engine train made for work has safely been delivered. It's now not my problem if it disintegrates - can always say the room they put it in was too hot!

When is the big unveiling? ... how long does it have to survive?

Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Until 12.00... 2 and a bit hours :? I haven't put the train on the main bit of cake yet, so less risk of collapse!

Yesterday was just amazing, Pippa. He's a legend and the band were pretty damn good musicians/singers as well. I look forward to the new album. Next gig - Nick Cave/Grinderman in October (unless Soundgarden and Slash slip in some dates before!)

    Hi Sian!

Yeah I'm looking forward to this one too. I had problems with the Alison Krauss stuff... you know sometimes for no reason someones voice is just not your thing?? Much prefer Patty Griffin ... and the rest of the band don't do too badly on vocals either

I liked Alison Krauss but I do prefer Patty Griffin's voice. It's so much more versatile than Alison's. It can go from country to blues to rock. A lot less 'nasal' too.

Sian... I'll take pics once set up. It's only a lil' steam engine set on a sheet cake with grass, bushes, tracks and a few odds and sods.

Stupid question, but are you 'clicked' on the layer you want to work on (is it highlighted)? Also ensure it's visible.

Glad to hear about the cake Rita. :D

I would like to say that I love Alison Krauss, I think her voice is absolutely stunning. Not just on Raising Sand but her solo stuff as well. Having said that, I'm looking forward to hearing this Patti person, one way or another.

Oh Robert Plant.. *sighs* If only I didn't have a boyfriend. ;)

Speaking of which, he's coming over tonight so must not let him see this post. :P
