I just got my concert MP3s for the Washington, D.C. show on 6-22-2008. And before the mini set of "I" songs: "I'm Open" "I Am Mine" "I Got ID" (right at the beginning of I'm Open) he says that "This is for.." and I can't make out the last word. Please help!

Viva La Pearl Jam.

Why would he dedicate the "I" songs to "you?" That doesn't make sense.

I'm pretty sure he dedicated the "You" trilogy later in the show to "you."

    but anyway ...

yeah, but you don't have to register to read. It seems odd to me to go through the trouble of registering a username and then not actually use it for two years.

I'm not judging or anything ... just find it interesting. I'd like to know the rationale, being the curious soul that I am.

But did you have a username while you lurked? Or did you register it when you finally decided to post something?

In my case, I typically lurk for months on a message board before actually posting. In that time, I don't have a username. I just read what others write. Eventually, something will piss me off enough to force me to write something ;) ... and that's when I set up my account.

I know this is a ridiculous threadjack, but this just seems fascinating to me ...

i think, but could be wrong, that you have to be registered for most forums in order to use the search function or view profiles of registered users. hence the having a username but not posting
EDIT: not that I'm answering for the op or the other person who stated they had lurked for a long time.
i actually lurked back in 03 for about a month as a registered user and I think, if i remember correctly, the reason I registered was to search for something

I've been a lurker and I registered so I could send a few personal messages to other users...

in other news: Eddie definitely dedicates the "You Are" "U" "Who You Are" set to "you"
    - in listening to it again maybe he says, "I guess this about a dialogue" or it could be something like "this is for darla."
