somebody said sleight of hand but that song makes me feel so great. the situation is described so perfectly that i feel like its a guide to not falling into the trap that the protagonist does. i feel the same way about all those yesterdays.

  • Lots of good mentions in here. To me, Parachutes has always had a sad tone to it. I'm more of one that listens to the tone and feel of a song than the lyrics really, so I could be wrong. But it just sounds like it could be a sad song to me, lol.
  • Footsteps gets me, "I've got scratches all over my arms, one for each day since I fell apart," is an amazing, you can feel the pain.
    Hearts and thoughts they fade....
    fade away...

I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.

  • Other Side -- "death ain't the same without you dear, I make the others run and hide"
Yellow Ledbetter -- always been rather bittersweet for me.
    Better Man
    Come Back
    Force of Nature

Has a super sad, emotional set ever been played in concert?
Do you see the way that tree bends? Does it inspire?

I'll not lose my faith, it's an inside job today

I think it is safe to say Pearl Jam has to hold the most songs that touch people in so many ways. It seems these guys dont just put a song out to fill space on thier Album.
Some words when spoken...Can't be taken back...
