charlotte to little rock, crazy?

Am I crazy to drive this far for the WM3 benefit?
it will be about 11-12 hours each way, I work friday night till 11 pm and go back to work monday at 8 am

I'm going solo, so if I dont go I'll only be out $30

BUT

It could be a real amazing show, I'm 15 rows back in a tiny venue and I've never seen an E.V. solo set.

any thoughts

    crazy but crazy is good :D

    How much is a bus and how much longer time wise? It would be less exhausting and more fun than driving 12 hours. The trip home will be a bitch otherwise, on a bus you can sleep.

    Coming from B'ham I'm not as far but still 7 hrs. Going solo, I figured I'll be out a Saturday and maybe a hundred bucks for ticket and gas. Why not? It could be 3 songs and done or it could be something magical. You won't miss the Saturday you gave up a month from now.

    the bus is a no go :( great idea though

    the thing is, I just changed jobs an I havent had a day off in over 2 weeks and I've been working 10-12 hour days..... so I really need a break but I'm thinking seeing Ed will recharge my spirits and a 24 hour car ride cranking tunes is worth it.

    but there is so much stuff I need to catch up on around the house :|

    I don't know what I'm doing yet

    If you think the roadtrip is worth it go for it!
    Stuff at the house can wait, its not going anywhere and will find its way to getting done.
    Having seen 4 EV solo shows, He is more than awesome and there is the preparty Mindi and friends are planning. You will have a great time just please be very careful on the roads as you could get dozey. We used to drive home a lot and that is a long car ride but I gather you are young so you got the energy :D

    I wouldn't do it. And the only reason i say that is b/c there's widespread speculation that it's not a full Ed show, and that he's only going to do a handful of songs, maybe 30 mins.

    For that reason alone, i wouldn't do it. For a confirmed full length Ed show? Definitely.

    well I just got home from another 12.5 hour day and as of right now---

    I'M GOING!

    I'll back a bag in the morning before work then after work I'll come home take a shower, brew some cofee and hit the road. we'll see how I feel in the morning but right now I'm in

    Good for you, and i hope you enjoy it. I do think you'll be really disappointed though.

    did you make the trek? was it awesome? did you get to meet Mr Vedder? :D
    if the answers are yes yes yes, then I know you are exhausted but very happy still riding the cloud 9 :D

    yes I went and it was sooooo worth it! had a great time at a special evening. it was very moving and I must say that it touched my heart.

    I didn't meet Ed, I bolted for the door right after the last song :cry: ( I NEVER do that! I always hang out afterwards but that night I was exhausted and needed to get out of there)

    I'm glad I went but in the future I would not do that again, it was dangerous. :oops: I drove 13 straight hours after working 12. after the show I drove about an hour out of little rock and checked in a hotel, slept 7 hours and then drove the rest of the way home. it was to much.

    and yes it was Awesome! :D:D:D

    little rock is a really nice town!!! I was surprised how cool it was, it had a real nice park on the river, a farmers market that was way cool and a ststretch of 3-4 blocks of restaurants, shops and bars. I would of liked to have spent more time there :D

    I'm glad you made the trip, it was worth it, huh? I'm also glad I got to bump into you at The Flying Fish, now I have a face to go with the bicycle,lol. :)
