    I totally just PM'd your mom a happy birthday note!!

    That is soooo sweet!!! Ive been trying to get my mom into them for years...shes a victim of the radio and doesnt believe that ANYONE even knows who Pearl Jam is or actually listen to their music....
    Ive been trying to get her to come to a show for years, and she keeps weaseling out of it...Im just gonna have to force her next tour...I dont think anyone could possibly come out of a Pearl Jam show and not absolutely love them!!!

    Please help spread the word and help raise the number of PM's sent! Maybe I need Joni's help -not for money fundraising but for love-support raising!

    Mom has received 45 PM's now! I haven't logged into her account but I am receiving the email notifications when you send your PM since I haven't changed the account to her email yet. You are so awesome for helping out. I just spoke to her this evening and it was so hard not to tell her I was anxious for Wednesday :)

    It's almost like you are all in position, hiding in the dark, waiting for the lights to come on to say "surprise!" but since you haven't met her before... you don't know when to yell... My mother does not short change appreciation. She will absolutely be touched by the messages she is receiving (assuming you were all polite). I am touched by your willingness to do this already....she's going to love this.

    Thanks again, and please help spread the word!

    Oh, and a quick side note - I am female. ;) Sorry if some of you were thrown off base by the team dinner story. We did have the teams over and she fed them... I just wasn't one of the players or a cheerleader...

    I ended up with an extra EV solo ticket for the Ryman last year the day before the show. She kept telling me she would be willing to go. I thought, that's okay, I'll find a fan to use it... OMG she would have loved it. I felt really bad about not giving it to her.. anyway, I'll do better next time.

    I made a few PJ CD mixes that included some slower tunes from some of my favorite live shows - Long Road, Oceans, Release, Immortality, Indifference, etc. She really enjoyed the mixes but like I said earlier, she threw me for a loop when she told me how much she liked Worldwide Suicide. Start easy and build... :) good luck!

    I know what ya mean about building up to this love of this band.. I went through this with my sister. She actually liked them before me actually and lost intrest.. then we moved in together to take care of our mother when she messed herself up, and I FORCED her to listen to PJ now she's begging me to go to the next show I go to.. it won't be long and she'll be getting a TC membership.. after all I've been getting mine for like three years now for my Bday or Christmas.. LMAO took me a while to think of THAT idea.

    Thanks again. My oldest daughter is very excited about this and will be just giddy when she watches her grandma's face. I will make sure we are there to help her login for the first time so we can witness it 8-) . Of course my daughter also made it clear she wants a membership too... so if I post a similar message in the future for my daughter, will you all join back in again? ;)

    Thanks. You're not too late though. She won't get her card or know about the messages in her box until next Wednesday the 25th so it's okay for messages to get posted anytime. It will just sit in your outbox and her inbox for a few days. It's awesome. She won't care whether the email came on her birthday or later.

    Awwww this is so cool. I've emailed "mom" and shared on my facebook. That'll definitely increase the love to your momma. Maybe the next tour Ed will get wind she's at a gig and call her out and we can chant "mom" "mom" "mom".

    what an awesome child you are to think of your mom this way....I also included where I am located on the birthday wish ... would be nice to see where everyone is from and how far around the planet her greetings are coming ... we are global .... !
