I can't say that I'm surprised after the Lolla censorship flap.

Here's the current lineup -

Jack Johnson, Metallica, Kanye West, Willie Nelson, The Raconteurs, Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Folds, B.B. King, O.A.R., Talib Kweli, Stephen Marley, Jakob Dylan, Against Me!, Donavon Frankenreiter, Rilo Kiley, The Disco Biscuits, State Radio, M.I.A., Lupe Fiasco, Vampire Weekend and tons more!!

I sure hope so. I am remaining optimistic, because Pearl jam have always seemed to be a webcast friendly band over the last few years. Regardless of if AT&T censors something or not (and I don't agree with them censoring by any means). It would still be great to see.

I'll try to stay positive too, but from years past I recall only the minor bands changing as the weekend gets closer.

Just as long as Kanye West doesn't get the PJ slot.

were they not added to the Lolla one very late last year?

If not Lolla then some of the other festival, Werchter maybe I'm thinking about.

Have they really? They certainly aren't as webcast-friendly as other bands (Wilco comes to mind). I can only recall House of Blues 2003 and Lollapalooza 2007 for PJ. What other webcasts have they participated in?

I'm not surprised if the PJ camp is wary of the AT&T BlueRoom webcast. They did get a bad taste of it last year with the censorship issue. But I sure hope PJ can get past it because I will be disappointed if I can't come home from work that evening and see them performing from Bonnaroo.

Now, if we were talking about pirated radio frequencies being broadcasted from an old van outside the festival grounds, PJ would be the first one on that train. How about a MonkeyWrench webcast for the summer tour? Then they wouldn't have to deal with censorship...

Exactly. PJ was even listed on the lolla website last year. I'm sure they will be on the Roo webcast

They may not live up to your standards, but they are more indie than most bands at their level. They have a machine to feed.

Will PJ give them a 2nd chance? I don't know. Plus, imagine our friend Ed if he knows he is back out in cyberspace via AT&T. His potty mouth will be going full tilt just to prove his point. I hope PJ agrees to go on for that reason alone.

OK. So maybe they wouldn't do that today.

But they DID it their past. They used to have that ethic about them. That was my original point. They haven't been the most active band when it comes to webcasting their shows, but they have a precedent in their past that might lead them to take advantage of it more often.
