FIVE GUYS vs. IN 'N OUT ....which is better?

Just tried Five Guys for the 1st time today and both the burger and fries were awesome! (and the free peanuts were a nice touch as well).....but if its "bang for your buck", i still say In 'N Out (hard to top their Animal style burgs and homemade neapolitan shakes!)

    since the closest In N Out is 2000 miles away from where I live.....

    Does anybody else's 5 guys give you an obscene amount of fries. I order the small and the overfill the cup then dump a bunch more into the bottom of the bag, it's crazy. I like InO's burger compared to 5 guys, but they win on the fries. My city is so burger spoiled right now 5 guys is kinda meh.

    To me, it's apples and oranges - both great in their own rite. And I gotta agree that there isn't an In N' Out within 2,000 miles of me, so I gotta go with 5 Guys.

    oh, your from Canada. those are some Canadian chains, eh? :D sounds mighty fine. :thumbup: might have to try one of them burger joints some day when I make it up there. like ten years or so. but by then I hope to be vegetarian.....ah, who the hell am I kidding. :D

    There is a 5 guys about .5 miles from my house and .2 miles from my work so i've been there a bit. I like there burgers.
    I haven't had an in and out burger but would love to try it if i'm ever out on the west coast.

    I actually like "the counter" burger better then 5 guys but it is more expenseive then 5 guys.

    Dick's is the BEST! Never had In N Out, 5 guys is pretty good, and yes they give you an obscene amount of fries.

    Never had in N out but if its anything like all the other 100 million different burger joints down south Im gonna have to say it sucks. Last time I went down south to visit my sister we must have tried 5 different burger joints and htey all tasted exactly the same. Just cheap crap.

    5 guys on the other hand is amazing. I love how they use raw jalapenos too.

    never heard of 5 guys and frankly there isn't a better burger than in-n-out so this really isn't a contest (at least for me) :D

    5 guys is damn good (and the amount of fries is absurd and you cant pass up the cajun) but I do search high and low for in-and-out when i'm on the west coast! making me hungry and i just had lunch an hour ago

    Five Guys fries are WAY better than In-N-Out fries! And since fries are more important than burgers, that's all that matters to me.
