New Membership - PJ - Can you PM my mom?

Dear members of Pearl Jam, Wishlist volunteers, fellow Pearl Jammers, Ten Club staff, and everyone else!

I purchased a new PJ fan club membership for my mother yesterday. Her birthday is Friday (8/20). I set it up with her name and address but used my email address for the time being so she wouldn't receive the membership information before I was ready. I printed out her membership page to put in a birthday card but then thought I could make it more fun that that. Well, I can't ask Ed to call her from stage... so...

Wouldn't it would be neat if when she logs in for the first time she finds a ton of PM's wishing her a Happy Birthday and welcoming her to the official PJ community? Would you be willing to help make her birthday special with me? Her screenname is PJ2010MOM.

I always thought I forced her to listen to PJ starting back in '92 on the road trips where she would pick me up from college and take me home for the weekend... she was very willing and patient and listened to whatever I played for her. She would sort of nod her head at me as I smiled, bounced in the car seat next to her and shouted "Isn't it great????" She surprised me recently when she told me how much she really enjoyed... "what's it called... worldwide suicide?" "Really?" I said - "wow, that's not the one I figured you would latch onto mom..." She smiled and told me she has enjoyed listening to PJ music that I've been playing for her for a long time.

Mom has been to three shows now starting with Chicago 8/23/09 - It was her birthday present - she was immediately hooked to the exceptional live performance that words can't do justice.

So, can you help send her a welcome birthday message? I'm not able to give her the card and login information until next Wednesday, 8/25 so you have a few days. Thanks for your help!

    Absolutely. I grew up with everyone calling her Mom. She is just one of those kinds of moms. We would have the entire football or basketball team over at our house for dinner before a game and she was happy being mom to all of them.

    Go to "edit your profile" then click on Private Messages then paste in the name or click on find member.

    There may be an easier way but I don't know what it is. I guess I could log in as her and post on this thread so you could easily hit the PM from there.

    Hey - she knows ALL about the bitching thread. She and I actually read it together and were in tears laughing. I love my mom... but....I didn't give her my buttons from Greece though... :?
