anyone care to speculate why it costs so much more than amazon? SLH? are they signing some/all of these? are the extras/colored vinyl unique to the SG.com orders?0 -

When I click on it, the next page says $112. something. WTF. I don't think I am going to get it anyway, but that's strange."I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave up reading." - Henry Youngman0 -

I seriously doubt that there are any benefits to ordering direct from the band's website. Buying directly from a band rarely yields you the lowest price (see pearl jam, for example).Rock me Jesus, roll me Lord...

OK, that's seriously wacky!!!! When I just checked amazon it was 89.99, and now it's 112. Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot indeedRock me Jesus, roll me Lord...

Also, the cd/dvd combo is $10 more at Amazon and also at Best Buy (I checked) than at SG. Nothing is making much sense. I think I will just get the cd/dvd combo at SG for $17.99."I read about the evils of drinking, so I gave up reading." - Henry Youngman0

that wouldnt be greedy, itd just be stupid... its not like someone willing to pay $100 for a boxset is a casual fan or stupid enough not to shop around first... the amazon pre-order has been up long enough to attract a good amount of attentionarthurdent wrote:

as it is, orders from amazon are even less of a net gain for SG b/c I'm sure amazon gets a cut
confusing :?0 -

well, seeing as how it appears PJ's back end is running the show over at sgworld I wouldn't put "stupid" past them.

Individually Numbered Hinged Double Slipcase Box Set Featuring 2CDs, 1 Limited Edition DVD, Bob Ludwig Mastered 3 Splatter Colored Vinyl LPs and more! Limited to 5000 copies!
Like the iconic ‘60s and ‘70s bands which inspired them, Soundgarden redefined rock music for a whole generation and had a revolutionary impact on the course of musical history. As one of the first bands to release music on the venerated Sub Pop label, and the first band to come out of the '90s Seattle music scene to later sign to a major label, they are once again making history with Telephantasm.
A reunited Soundgarden release their first collection of music since 1996 in the form of Telephantasm. This multi-label, career-spanning retrospective album includes beloved band hits, deep back catalogue cuts and a never-before-heard unreleased track entitled “Black Rain,” taken from the Badmotorfinger recording sessions. Telephantasm marks the first time ever a collection of its kind has been collated in one place.
This Super Deluxe Numbered, Limited Edition box set of Telephantasm includes 2CDs, Limited Edition DVD featuring 6 bonus music videos, three heavy weight vinyl LPs, collectible poster, lithos and more!
“...Soundgarden delivered an explosive set of classic '90s songs... Kim Thayil proved he's one of rock's greatest guitarists, taking traditional hard rock riffing to its extreme. Cornell often felt like the counterbalance to Thayil's sub-sonic playing. He's the consummate rock frontman...” - Rolling Stone Magazine

I get confused why they call it limited edition. Wouldn't it be a collector's edition if only 5000 are made & numbered? Cause if they only make this limited run of 5000 that are numbered, will they continue to make/disturbed this box set after the 5000 as a regular edition?0 -
Just ordered it!
