I say a horse a piece to my kids and they look at me weird
Yeah I couldn't believe it when he said he didn't want my fresh bread! - I thought I was doing him a good turn! Was funny but aggravating alsoCancel my subscription to the Ressurection

whilst I clung to oceans
You loved black
Whilst I clung to oceans
You were in alive
Whilst I was living once, garden
We were barely standing on a bridge
Whilst the world collapsed around us
Crumbled; everything that wasn’t nailed down
Was spinning up to hit us in the face
But we had contact
We had solid ground (& earthed)
And we had touch
Now it’s me that treasures black
Whilst you just discover faithful
It is to me to update you
When you used to hardly miss a trick
There’s something
About a guide
Something about communication
Something about not collapsing
(too young people)
Under the heaviness
Of our circumstances
I really wish I’d never had to grow up like that.....
There’s something about a mentor
A lot about a voice
And for me isolation
And for you
We really could have drowned you knowCancel my subscription to the Ressurection

I have a (an empty so far..but I have a few things I have to put in)
anyway...a page on my BLOG entitled
"Voices of The Faithful"
It is space for poetry, prose, short stories, musings, whatnot, from my friends, friends like you.
If you would like to contribute, or want me to add anything that's on these pages and others, please just let me know and I'd be more than happy to share!
Then, if you'd like, you can add a link to your stuff or to the blog, whatever you want, into your signature, or whatever, or not, depending upon how you feel about it.
I know some of you have blogs already where you have an outlet for your stuff, but if you don't, or even if you do, and you want to share it further, I would absolutely LOVE to post your stuff on my blog as well.
The things I read here have so much emotion, so much feeling, and so much truth, that I can't imagine them being left here where only we will see them and feel them.
Just a thought
Peace,
jo
If you want to check it out first, the blog address is: http://johannapearl.weblog.com/

Darkness, my comfort
I speak here again
in a dream I saw it all
it has grown
and fills my thought
In Silence.
I moved across the grass alone
through the trees and dappled sun.
I turned my face to feel the warmth
closed my eyes from the light
to bring the darkness
And feel Silence.
In the darkness is where I saw
the tears of many not alone
eyes open but not seeing
arms reaching but not embracing
words written never spoken
Lost without Silence.
"'Here can you not see?'
This Silence grows in side of me
take my darkness and you will know
feel my arms to hold you dear
see my words and hear the call
It is here in Silence.
And you have come but not to pray
though the answer may be there
you will find it in the darkness
you will find it in a dream
Of Silence.

The Wasp
They must have wanted the sugar in my coffee,
By their nature wasps seem to skim, zip, hover, buzz, attack
By their nature they seem just plain nasty
Usually I’m good,
I can tolerate
Today though I just wanted to be left in peace
So I flayed and flayed
To no effect
They only came back harsher, sharper
Eventually I just sat still,
and observed what they wanted,
what they were seeking
So I sat, and was still
Sat back and watched
I saw them spiral & dive, spiral and dive
To very little effect
In the end they simply jumped away and vanished.
Disinterested
And I was left with my peace
And my coffeePost edited by tremors onCancel my subscription to the Ressurection

Sad...I like it
I wanted to write something to the effect.....
As the ocean works to wash away l o v e in the sand,
life works to wash away the love we own in our hearts.
It only needs to be written again,
and again.0 -

Yeah, it looks better! I often like to observe animals, and write a little something about them, oftentimes there can be a deeper lesson there too. In this 'wasp' case I see something about negative, destructive thoughts as well.
I saw a hedgehog (do they call them that in USA?) recently at night and it ran away from me up the path really fast, but stayed in sight, so I followed along behind trying to keep a safe distance, but he obviously could hear me, so at a certain point he just stopped dead and curled up into a spiky ball. I remember thinking 'good defence, not sure it is that much use in the modern age tho!!' Was going to write something about it, but went to bed instead!Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

Yes we call them Hedgehogs but I don't think we have Hedgehogs, I don't think they aren't native to North America. See them at the zoos only maybe.
Perhaps you will still honor him with a cute little story some day. Tuck it away for a rainy day writingThe little guy there on youtube is really cute

Show and tell assignment
From our days in school this was a favorite, bringing an object to class and telling why it is a treasure.
Choose a favorite object, write a short story or poem that tells us why it is special to you. You'll need lots of description, words of imagery to "show" us your object and why it is important to you.
Could be fun0
