Hi melbourneflower - I love your photos and especially the fact that you photographed us girls holding the Whip it sign We had so much fun there - this has been my best friend's and my second concert in a row (2009 and 2010) and my third (1996 8-) ) and although we were kind of sad because we thought it so short we were truly happy being there and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere. We were both great fans in our teenage years and got to know each other a few years ago and then we both realized that we both loved Pearl Jam. And although we both also love some electronic stuff from time to time this is truly something different. We both hope they will come back really soon

I was comparing two live versions of Come Back:
the live performance in Verona 2006 (dedicated to Joey Ramone) e the one io Berlin 2010 (dedicated to the 9 friend's lost in Roskilde).
The first is a really good vocal performance of eddie and the voice come's out clear and strong.
The last one: eddie's voice seems broken, struggent and it really moves me in the land of pain...

what do you think?

A lot of people say it about the shows they've been to, but you really had to be in Berlin to fully appreciate what happened that night.

Listening to the bootleg makes me emotional, but actually being there that night is something I'll never forget. The feeling of relaxation/joy/jubilation on one hand, and sadness/regret/loss on the other hand created a unique atmosphere that night. It was a celebration of still being here 10 years on while remembering those we lot.

That second encore opening with perhaps the best version of Unthought Known they've played, which completely brought the crowd to another level, and then the band took us on a journey from there.

I wasn't even aware of Pearl Jam back in 2000 and I don't remember ever hearing about the Roskilde tragedy until a couple of years later when I discovered the band. But I could FEEL what the band was feeling. We all felt it.
