Lyrics of the moment

Restless tonight
Cause I wasted the light
Between both these times
I drew a really thin line
It’s nothing I planned
And not that I can
But you should be mine
Across that line
If I traded it all
If I gave it all away for one thing
Just for one thing
If I sorted it out
If I knew all about this one thing
Wouldn’t that be something
I promise I might
Not walk on by
Maybe next time
But not this time
Even though I know
I don’t want to know
Yeah I guess I know
I just hate how it sounds
Even though I know
I don’t want to know
Yeah I guess I know
I just hate how it sounds
Even though I know
I don’t want to know
Yeah I guess I know
I just hate how it sounds"I'm not present, I'm a drug that makes you dream"0 -
All the love in the world
Couldn't save you
All the innocence inside
You know I tried so hard to make you
To make you change your mind
And it hurts too much to see you
And how you left yourself behind
You know I wouldn't want to be you
Now there's a hell I can't describe
So now I wander through my days
And try to find my ways
To the feelings that I felt
I saved for you and no one else
And though as long as this road seems
I know it's called the street of dreams
But that's not stardust on my feet
It leaves a taste that's bittersweet
That's called the blues
I don't know just what I should do
Everywhere I go, I see you
And though it's what you planned
This much is true
What I thought was beautiful
Don't live inside of you
Anymore
What this means to me is more
Than I know you believe
What I thought of you now
Has cost more than it should for me
What I thought was true before
Were lies I couldn't see
What I thought was beautiful,
Is only memoriesCancel my subscription to the Ressurection

Once I thought I saw you
in a crowded hazy bar,
Dancing on the light
from star to star.
Far across the moonbeam
I know that's who you are,
I saw your brown eyes
turning once to fire.
You are like a hurricane
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away
To somewhere safer
where the feeling stays.
I want to love you but
I'm getting blown away.
I am just a dreamer,
but you are just a dream,
You could have been
anyone to me.
Before that moment
you touched my lips
That perfect feeling
when time just slips
Away between us
on our foggy trip.
You are like a hurricane
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away
To somewhere safer
where the feeling stays.
I want to love you but
I'm getting blown away.
You are just a dreamer,
and I am just a dream.
You could have been
anyone to me.
Before that moment
you touched my lips
That perfect feeling
when time just slips
Away between us
on our foggy trip.
You are like a hurricane
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away
To somewhere safer
where the feeling stays.
I want to love you but
I'm getting blown away.
Wish you were here...

Ah, memories.... of Uni! Getting woken at 3am by my NY obsessed housemate on the ground floor!!!
'Look out, Mama, there's a white boat comin' up the river
With a big red beacon, and a flag, and a man on the rail
I think you'd better call John,
'Cause it don't look like they're here to deliver the mail
And it's less than a mile away
I hope they didn't come to stay
It's got numbers on the side and a gun
And it's makin' big waves.
Daddy's gone, my brother's out hunting in the mountains
Big John's been drinking since the river took Emmy-Lou
So the Powers That Be left me here to do the thinkin'
And I just turned twenty-two
I was wonderin' what to do
And the closer they got,
The more those feelings grew.
Daddy's rifle in my hand felt reassurin'
He told me, Red means run, son, numbers add up to nothin'
But when the first shot hit the docks I saw it comin'
Raised my rifle to my eye
Never stopped to wonder why.
Then I saw black,
And my face splashed in the sky.
Shelter me from the powder and the finger
Cover me with the thought that pulled the trigger
Think of me as one you'd never figured
Would fade away so young
With so much left undone
Remember me to my love,
I know I'll miss her.'Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

"Listen To Your Heart" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgICd1zImXA
I know there's something in the wake of your smile.
I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yea.
You've built a love but that love falls apart.
Your little piece of heaven turns too dark.
Listen to your heart
when he's calling for you.
Listen to your heart
there's nothing else you can do.
I don't know where you're going
and I don't know why,
but listen to your heart
before you tell him goodbye.
Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile.
The precious moments are all lost in the tide, yea.
They're swept away and nothing is what it seems,
the feeling of belonging to your dreams.
And there are voices
that want to be heard.
So much to mention
but you can't find the words.
The scent of magic,
the beauty that's been
when love was wilder than the wind.0 -
well, his voice would boom
across the interstate
telling tales, making waves..I LOVE MUSIC.

Virgil Caine is the name, and I served on the Danville train,
Till Stoneman's cavalry came and tore up the tracks again
In the winter of '65, We were hungry, just barely alive
By May the tenth, Richmond had fell, it's a time I remember, oh so well,
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,
And the bells were ringing,
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,
And the people were singin'
They went,
Na na na na na na
Back with my wife in Tennessee, When one day she called to me,
"Virgil, quick, come see, there goes Robert E. Lee"
Now I don't mind choppin' wood, and I don't care if the money's no good
Ya take what ya need and ya leave the rest,
But they never should have taken the very best
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,
And the bells were ringing,
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,
And the people were singin'
They went,
Na na na na na na
Like my father before me, I will work the land,
Like my brother above me, who took a rebel stand
He was just eighteen, proud and brave, But a Yankee laid him in his grave,
I swear by the blood below my feet,
You can't raise a Caine back up when he's in defeat
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,
And the bells were ringing,

I guess I'm alright, guess I'm alright
I guess I'm doing fine, guess I'm doing fine
Do you think I'd miss you, Do you think I'd care?
Do you think I'd lay down and die?
You never even tried
Now it's the right time, it's the right time
If you willed your mind, if you willed your mind....
So fly on swift now
On your journey home
And you've fled the nest now and you have flown
Look out to sea and tell me what we came here for
Is it what they say, or is there more than we can know,
and if so
Which way am I to go?
I guess I'm alright, I guess I'm doing fine
Can't see no reasons
For not pushing through
So make like the wind that's blowing you.....Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

I want to live, I want to give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold
It's these expression, I never give ...
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
and I'm getting old...
I've been to hollywood, I've been to redwood
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind, its such a fine line
that keeps me searching for a heart of gold
and I'm getting old...*********************************************************************************************0 -
Don't expect too much from my poor old heart
you can blame me unforgiven for my scars
you might just be the best that I can find
but I can't seem to forget the tears I've cried....
I don't know that I will ever trust again
its a price I must pay for all my sins
time has changed me and left me full of doubt
and my heart may be lost... never to be found....
once upon a time I did believe
in my true love that swept me off my feet
the wind of change swept him away
and left me drowning in my own pain...
I don't know that I will ever love again
I don't know that I will ever trust again....*********************************************************************************************0 -
All of a sudden she
was on my mind
I wasn't ready for her kind
And she was taking her time.
What if she came to me
Would she be kind?
And if she stayed with me
Do you think that
she'd like to do anything
I would, or would she leave me?
Lately I've found myself
losing my mind
Knowing how badly I need her
It's something hard to find"I'm not present, I'm a drug that makes you dream"0 -
You Set the Scene
Where are you walking, I've seen you walking
Have you been there before?
Walk down your doorsteps, you'll take some more steps
What did you take them for?
There's a private in my boat and he wears
Pins instead of medals on his coat
There's a chicken in my nest and she won't
Lay until I've given her my best
At her request she asks for nothing
You get nothing in return
If you want she brings you water
If you don't then you will burn
You go through changes, it may seem strange
Is this what you're put here for?
You think you're happy and you are happy
That's what you're happy for
There's a man who can't decide if he should
Fight for what his father thinks is right
There are people wearing frowns who'll screw you up
But they would rather screw you down
At my request I ask for nothing
You get nothing in return
If you're nice she'll bring me water
If you're not then I will burn
This is the time and life that I am living
And I'll face each day with a smile
For the time that I've been given's such a little while
And the things that I must do consist of more than style
There are places that I am going
This is the only thing that I am sure of
And that's all that lives is gonna die
And there'll always be some people here to wonder why
And for every happy hello, there will be good-bye
There'll be time for you to put yourself on
Everything I've seen needs rearranging
And for anyone who thinks it's strange
Uh, then you should be the first to want to make this change
And for everyone who thinks that life is just a game
Do you like the part you're playing
I see your picture
It's in the same old frame
We meet again
You look so lovely
You with the same old smile
Stay for a while
I need you so, oh, oh, oh, oh
And if you take it easy
I'm still teethin'
I wanna love you, but
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
This is the time in life that I am living
And I'll face each day with a smile
For the time that I've been given's such a little while
And the things that I must do consist of more than style
There'll be time for you to start all over

Almost cut my hair
It happened just the other day
It was getting kind of long
I could have said it was in my way
But I didn't and I wonder why
I feel like letting my freak flag fly
And I feel like I owe it to someone
Must be because I had the flu for Christmas
And I'm not feeling up to par
It increases my paranoia
Like looking into a mirror and seeing a police car
But I'm not giving in an inch to fear
Cos I promised myself this year
I feel like I owe it to someone
When I finally get myself together
I'm gonna get down in some of that sweet summer weather
I'm going to find a space inside to laugh
Separate the wheat from the chaff
Cos I feel like I owe it, yeah
Said I feel like I owe it, yeah
You know I feel---- like I owe it yeah to someoneCancel my subscription to the Ressurection

Everyone needs forever changes in their lives!
One of my favourite opening song-lines of all time:
'Oh, the snot has caked against my pants
It has turned into crystal
There's a bluebird sitting on a branch
I guess I'll take my pistol....'Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection

All of the seasons and all of the days
all of the reasons, why I've felt this way
so long, so long...
then lost in that feeling, I looked in your eyes
I noticed emotion and that you had cried, for me, I can see...
What would touch me deeper...
tears that fall from eyes that only cry??
would it touch you deeper
than tears that fall from eyes that know why??
a lifetime of questions, tears on your cheek
I tasted the answers and my body was weak...
for you, the truth
What would touch you deeper...
tears that fall from eyes that only cry
would it touch you deeper
than tears that fall from eyes that know why ??....

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
and nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know
So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us, something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters
never cared for what they say
never cared for games they play
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
and I know
So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters
Wish you were here...
