Let's Get Creative

Hey inspiration can be hard to find yet it's all around us.
This could be the place to share with and inspire others to find just what they may be looking for,
a subject to write about, a trigger for thought,
a spark to light the creative fire.
Please post your poem, short story or a thought about a subject, any subject....
or leave a subject title or picture here for others to write on.
Let's get creative....

    Well in the Poetry, Prose, Section people write their poems, stories thoughts on their own subject matter. Thought it would be fun to get a trigger from someone here to create on the spot.
    I would enjoy reading some different styles on the same subject too.
    It would be interesting to look into the minds of creative writers and how they work :D

    great alternative.....like "caption this photo" only a little more elaborate, is that what you meant by posting a picture for others to write on?

    I usually put my stuff in poetry and prose, and a lot of what hits me in the moment is in instant thoughts..but this sounds like a wonderful idea pandi!

    but ive already done that. manys the time ive bounced off others to write something. and if the inspiration strikes ill do it again.

    just cause it cant be picked out doesnt mean it aint happening.

    I also think that it would be well for "instant thoughts" to be forked into "instant thoughts" and another thread "instant messages"

    i fully agree.
    instant thoughts was created, was designed for spontaneous creative writing.
    it is not an instant message service.
    i do not want to be mean and nasty about it but it is out of control.

    every weekend i am hosting a poetry workshop in my backyard.
    bring a tent or a bag of weed.

    Awesome! Now this Peanut Butter & Pearl Jam needs a thread of its own so that layers can be added ...just to it.

    Cake, hey everyone likes cake,
    even people like me who don't much like sweets.
    Now I wonder why that is?
    Is it the light composition?
    Is it the fact it comes in many colors?
    You can cut it with a feather ;)
    Maybe it is the frosting they like
    and then they just leave the cake.
    No I think it is the joy cake symbolizes.
    From the time we are one year old,
    barely realizing much in the world
    there is the cake.
    It is a beautiful sight.
    It comes with a party too,
    smiling faces and presents
    and candles a light.
    Each year whether we like to eat cake or not
    we look forward to it as a symbol of celebration
    on the anniversary of our birth.
    The Joy of Cake is basic, it a celebration of life!
