Water

Water is just the coolest thing ever invented.
This I realized again while relaxing in the pool yesterday.
The sun shining made an underwater light spectrum of each ray,
red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet
that wiggled and waved across the pool floor infinitely.
The tiniest motion, like a dragonfly's quick dip,
sent a perfectly round ripple across the top of the water,
circling slowly outward.
My hand, barely a move, sent me slowly spinning weightless.
Water, tangible but unable to hold
yet so dense when contained,
perfectly transparent, smooth on the skin, embracing.
The sight of a tall cold glass on the rocks can ease a thirst
and in mass it is both powerful and peaceful.
And frozen, don't even get me started on the gift of snow!
Yep, water, one of the greatest inventions ever made.
Who thinks up this stuff?

you know what fascinates me about this... the water.... it just keeps on coming.

I could really stand their for hours and watch that too. One of my very favorite places I have been to.
I think about when the Indians first came upon it, that must have been a peace pipe moment wow!
