Roadtrippin' to PJ BOOTS!!!!!!!

A few days ago in the Eurotour thread, someone asked if we REALLY listen to all of the Boots we buy.
I just came off a GREAT roadtrip, where I did NOTHING BUT LISTEN TO PJ BOOTS!!!
I started here at home in Columbus, OH driving thru Cincinnati to Louisville,KY to pick up my nephew, Daniel. We then drove up to Indianapolis for the Brickyard 400 - The NASCAR event held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the INDY 500. And then turned around and did the reverse drive, back to Louisville to drop off Daniel, thru Cincinnati and finally back home to Columbus.
This ended up being over 850 miles round trip and we JAMMED to PJ BOOTS the whole time. Started with the Columbus 2010 show, I still love the idea of a Pearl Jam religion, where the only rule is "Don't be an @$$hole...then went into the Philly forum shows...I really think it was GREAT for Eddie to bring Charlie Difabrio, One of the local stagehands that had worked practically every event at the Forum, out to center stage...And CROWN OF THORNS on night 4 is one of the best performances of the song EVER!!!
On the drive back we started with night 3 from Mansfield that begins with an AMAZING acoustic set and then finished off the road trip with Boston 2010...Needless to say we had a great time traveling and listening to a different version (NOT Ohio State's TBDBITL) of THE BEST DAMN BAND IN THE LAND!!!!
So, Let's hear from other fans....Tell us about your favorite boot(s) to listen to when you're on the road.
Can't wait to hear some of the best moments in bootleg history!!! :ugeek:

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
I've been following your adventures in Eurotour 2010 thread and I know how much fun you all had during the tour.
Is this the version of "Bugs" where Eddie messes up the lyrics and threatens to "Destroy his ACCORDION"??
Thanks for sharing your Favorite Roadtrip BOOT!!! :ugeek:

Next month I'm going wayyyyy up to Mount Desert Island, Maine _ need to get a few more so I'll be watching this thread for recommendations!
New England is the one area of the country I've never been able (I've done upstate New York but that's not NE to me ) to travel thru...but I've always wanted to see Maine and Boston.
Do you have the boxset from THE GORGE?
I always enjoy listening to this set...
You get 2 versions of Crown of Thorns, Love Boat Captain + an amazing performance of In Hiding on the last night!!
Think you'd enjoy this on a roadtrip.
Thanks for sharing!!! :ugeek:

Thanks DerbyDave! I don't have The Gorge box set... but will order it. I was blown away by Crown of Thorns at the Boston show _ wasn't expecting that at all.
A drive along the Maine coastline is not to be missed. If you can get up to the Bar Harbor region you won't regret it. Just a beautiful part of the country. And as for Boston, well... it's the closest thing to heaven here on earth.
Thanks and happy traveling!
It's only $35 and you get 3 AMAZING SHOWS + the artwork on the CD Cases is beautiful.
I was lucky enough to see 2 Dave Matthews Band shows at the Gorge, when I lived in Seattle, but my biggest regret is that I never got to see Pearl Jam there. We left Seattle in 2000 and they didn't play the Gorge when I was out there. I did get to see them at Key Arena & both nights at Memorial Stadium though!!!
I will definitely get to Boston and would love to do a road trip to Maine.
I get to travel a lot for my job and could do a side trip with my rental car next time I'm in Upstate NY or do the drive up the coast next time I'm out on Long Island for business. :ugeek:
