saw Ed with Chris Chellios at the Cubs game tonight. Anyone think they will be hitting up Stanley's?

    Just saw that too. I've gotta think he's gonna be doing something with Soundgarden either at Lolla or their show at the Vic.

    I'll be at the game tomorrow night. I wonder if he'll be there tomorrow. After tonight's shit performance I sure wouldn't want to come back.

    After the 2008 solo tour finale in Chicago (amazing show BTW), I was able to finagle my way down to that private party at Stanley's and eventually got a pic with Eddie ! I remember they were making everyone leave and my gf and I pretended to be with the bar band. By 2:15 am the top of the stairwell bouncer was gone, and we went downstairs. First person I saw was John Cusack, along with Chelios (the host), Sean Penn (briefly), Liam Finn, his sidekick singer EJ (really cool btw). Eddie made his rounds and I had the balls to quickly ask for his picture. I blew it up and it proudly is framed next to my stairwell.

    One of the best nights of my life. Wish I had been a tad more sober, but was able to pull it off without falling over !

    Just showed him on FSN Wisconsin!!!! Looked like he was having a good time, the announcers said just because he's a Cubs fan you don't have to hate his Music!!! :D

    You probably mean Smitty. Skully was Stone's (and Ed's) guitar tech up until around 1995, when he left to start his tenure with Hootie & The Blowfish (yes, seriously), and is now Darius Rucker's full time guitar tech including solo tours. Darius recently had a #1 country album, and according to Skully - it was quite insane for Darius and it reminded him of PJ in 1992.

    cool story- I drove from des plaines to this bar in Lakeview and no ed. Oh well, I'll always have pre-Show Toledo 04 and London, On '05 in my memories

    Meeting Ed last night would have been great. I can't believe in a city of almost 3 million people we didn't just randomly bump into him. It was still a great adventure!!
