All 9 Albums in under 8 hours!

Yesterday at work, I was able to listen to every PJ album in order. Ten, Vs, Vitalogy, No Code, Yield, Binaural, Riot Act, Pearl Jam, Backspacer! My supervisor was absent so I had endless/uninterrupted access to my iPod. I can't remember the last time I listened to all the albums in a row in one sitting, so I thought I'd make a night of it. It was a fun experience, because you can hear how they evolve from album to album, but when you listen to them all at once, it also seems like one long album, and it made the time fly too! I recommend everyone does this at least once, just to have the experience, it was fun!

i did this a few times during my cross country adventures... so im curious, did any album stand out? For me, at least when driving, Binaural stood out as the best... which was always interesting to me bc Yield is for sure my favorite album (i think)
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...

YES YES YES! I've been preaching all along that Binaural is the best PJ album to listen to cover to cover. It opens with a bang, it gets really experimental and psychedelic in the middle, picks back up, then ends on such a cool note with Soon Forget and Parting Ways. I even make sure I always listen to the four minutes of silence before "writer's block" to contemplate to myself what a fantastic album I just heard.

I did this last summer and loved it. For some nagging reason I had a strange feeling though. After I got to my destination I realized that I had left my favorite album, No Code out of the playlist.

Also, I skipped Hey Foxymophandlemamathatsme so I kind of cheated. But let's face it, not really.

I sing along to stupid mop when I'm playing Vitalogy in my car. It really freaks the shit out of all my friends.

I did this recently but not in one day, I wish I was able to listen to music at work.

I did it last July (2009), and I included Lost Dogs, obviously Backspacer had yet to be released, so I should do it again soon.

I remember it was like nearly 3 AM and I was about to go to bed and said I MUST finish this! I still remember dozing off to Inside Job and waking up just before the end of the song. That was honestly the night that song really hit me. Which is odd b/c I was in and out of sleep! Ever since that, it has become one of my favorites.

I usually put all of their studio work on shuffle and listen through.

I've done the same for rush though.... All 15 albums or so
