So I'm new to Ten Club....and have a question

Hey guys!

I signed up back in March and still haven't received a thing in the mail confirming that I'm indeed a member (newsletter, etc). Is this normal? I signed up for another fanclub the same day and have already received several things.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question! I love logging on here and reading all your posts...I learn a lot.

    haha yeah, I realized after I wrote that it came out wrong.
    Basically what I'm asking then is...do I need to hunt down my neighbors for stealing my newsletters from the mailbox!?

    signing on in march, you missed the xmas single (which we rec'd in july finally), the Deep 6 newsletter and anything else that is "free" for this year.
    You can look forward to receiving your Christmas in July single next year...in July...
    Your Deep magazine sometime in the spring, if you're lucky

    But you sure can post
    and you sure can buy anything that you want from here
    and you can meet amazing people
    and you can have your dibs on tickets (hopefully) before the general public

    send 10C an email. I still don't have my 2009 annual single, but if you weren't a member then, you might not get it. It's hard to say what their cut-off dates are now. And you MAY have just missed the Deep mag. There's certain email addresses for certain questions.     I am also hoping that being in the Club helps tip me off so I can finally see them live (embarrassed) despite first owning "Ten" on cassette in 1992 haha. I'm just cheap and poor, but hopefully the timing will be right next time they're in the Philly area.

    What confused me is it says that when you sign up you're guaranteed a copy of DEEP as well as a Christmas single but if I don't get another one until next July that means I'd have to renew my membership again in March before receiving anything.

    I think a lot of us are still waiting. I don't know if they ever send out all of the singles for each particular year. I'm missing a few too.

    lemme 'splain. we get one Deep and one annual single per year. The problem is, we don't usually get the annual single the actual year that it was for. I'm still (and many others) waiting for the 2009 annual single. Should get it soon. Your first single, being that you signed up in 2010, will probably arrive in 2011 sometimes. You aren't getting jipped, it's just that the annual single tends to take a while to get out.

    Hopefully you'll get the issue of Deep, but if not, I know there are several people on the boards that have offered theirs up, as they either have an extra, or don't care to keep it after they read it.

    Can someone help this guy out with the Deep mag?

    As far as missing the Spectrum shows...I honestly didn't even know about them until it was too late (hence signing up for this very club) haha
    But also, I am not usually a "big concerts" type guy. With having two young children (and about to be unemployed come August), it is so far down on my list of priorities, which sucks! Most of the shows I go to are DIY HC/punk shows where I can pay like 10 bucks to get in. I guess you could say I'm spoiled because one of the first (and best) bands I ever saw live was Fugazi and it cost me $5 to get in.
    That said, next time PJ are coming around I need to go, somehow...and dammit, I'll find a way! :)

    Thanks so much for the explanation. I was more concerned that somehow something was delivered to me and didn't make it (the apartment I live in tends to get overlooked a lot, not sure why), which would suck!

    What is DEEP like? I'm so intrigued...can't wait to actually see an issue.

    it's ok. I always gets excited when I see one but then it's kinda "meh". I really thought the idea of Stone and Josh Homme cross-interview was a cool concept, but it seemed more of a back and forth pat on the back session than anything else. "I love your music" "no, YOU guys are awesome!" is what it pretty much amounted to.

    some cool contests, letters from fans. Honestly, if we got more than one per year it would be good. we used to get 2.
