Pearl Jam going on a Long Break?

I was reading some news feeds when I ran into the following article post on a web site from New Zealand:

It states that Eddie Vedder announced to fans at the Optimus Alive festival in Lisbon that the band was going on a long break. There is a YouTube video posted on the site from the festival. I am not sure if anyone else has heard or read anything about this; but, does anyone else know about this development?
