Ed Vedder's almost appearance on Entourage

I was listening to the commentary for Season 6 of Entourage and the executive producer mentioned how Eddie Vedder was supposed to appear in the season's final episode but was out of town, so they ended up getting Bono instead.

Reminds of the commentary from Lost when one of the producers talked about how a bearded Desmond looked like Eddie Vedder.

+3! Seinfeld & Curb Your Enthusiasm, the best TV series of all time, period! Cartoon related, it's the rebirth of Futurama, baby! 8-)

You watch the first two episodes? Both leaked, and I thought were damn good! Unfortunately, I'm going to have to disagree with you about Seinfeld... I know that the premise is its nothingness, and that theme is carried on in Curb, but I've always found Seinfeld just too dry for me. I also think Seinfeld himself is the least interesting character in the show, strangely enough.

You betcha! I don't get Comedy Central here. I searched the digital box for any new Futurama episodes & came up with bubkiss. So, I searched on the lovely torrent sites & found both episode leaks. It's great they are back on TV.

Seinfeld show was totally creative, just like Futurama! Only 2 show's I used to watch on TV. Curb cam out on HBO, commercial free & totally uncensored, took Larry to a whole new level. Love him or hate him, he is the best! Wish I knew somebody like that here & hanged out with. I agree Seinfeld himself wasn't an interested character in the show. George was my favorite character!

PM sent... but how could any Seinfeld fan not like Curb, really, when you consider that George Costanza is more or less Larry David. Also... you watch Arrested Development? Always reminds me of Curb, maybe even funnier just because of how absurd it is.

Doug Ellin didn't really clarify what Eddie was doing or why he wasn't available. But he did say Bono ended up recording the part twice, from somewhere in Europe, after the first version wasn't what they were looking for.

Larry: [to various passerby] You know anything about changing a tire? Wanna help me change a tire here? No? I could use a little help. I need a little assistance. I never took a shop class, and I need a little help. Ok, I'm just coming flat out and saying 'help me'. Anybody want to help a semi-retarded individual change a tire? 25, 30 dollars. 30 dollars to change this tire. 35 dollars to change this tire right now.
    [People are ignoring him]
Larry: I'll give you 10 dollars for a verbal response. 10 dollars. Anybody want to make 10 dollars and respond verbally? No?

    Leon: Nah.
Larry: Damn it! I don't have her number or her address.
    Leon: Call information.
Larry: I don't know her last name. She was in my BlackBerry under "Denise handicapped". That's how I remember these names. Don't you do that in your Blackberry? You put names down with jobs, some association, so you remember who they are? I got "Sean yoga", the yoga teacher, and "Teresa masseuse".

    Larry: You don't do what?
Waiter: We don't share that information with the customers.
Larry: Honestly, who gives a crap? I was in here, I was with a guy, I'm just curious. What did he leave?
Waiter: It was a healthy, healthy tip.
Larry: Was mine a healthy tip?
    Waiter: Yeah.
    Larry: Was his healthier?
    Waiter: I...
Larry: Let me ask you this question. Was it over twelve dollars?
Waiter: Do..do you want me to refill your water or..
Larry: Just scratch your face with your finger if it was over twelve dollars.
Waiter: I can really get in trouble if I talk to you about that.
Larry: Nobody even knows what we're talking about. Scratch your face with your finger if it was over twelve dollars. Go ahead, just scratch it. Was it over twelve dollars?
    [waiter scratches his face]
Larry: Oh, for god's sake. What an asshole! Let me ask you a question. Was it over fifteen dollars? Just tug on your tie up here. Was it over fifteen?
Waiter: This is making me really uncomfortable.
Larry: Nobody's even knows what we're talking about! Was it over fifteen dollars? Tug on your tie.
    [waiter tugs on his tie]

Michael: It's nothing to joke around about. Who are you trying to make an appointment with?
    Secretary: Rosenberg.
Michael: Rosenberg's a good man. I got a better one. Pencil. Call this man: Doctor J. Whitney. My wife's cousin, Kai, she runs the office.
    Larry: Oh, she does?
Michael: She can open all the doors, not just the back one. You know what I mean? Seriously, she can get you in today and you don't have to think about it again. Why not?
Larry: That's nice of you but there's really nothing wrong with me. I mean-why not-"I have a tickling in my anus". I don't have a tickle--[to secretary] Are you fucking crazy?! Huh?! Tickle in my anus? Where did that-why'd you say that!? I don't have a tickle! Who said that?!
Michael: I gotta go, I gotta go.
Secretary: Look, I think I gave you the wrong impression. Larry's anus is fine-
Larry: Shut the fuck up, okay?! SHUT THE FUCK UP!
