I was listening to the commentary for Season 6 of Entourage and the executive producer mentioned how Eddie Vedder was supposed to appear in the season's final episode but was out of town, so they ended up getting Bono instead.

Reminds of the commentary from Lost when one of the producers talked about how a bearded Desmond looked like Eddie Vedder.

+3! Seinfeld & Curb Your Enthusiasm, the best TV series of all time, period! Cartoon related, it's the rebirth of Futurama, baby! 8-)

You watch the first two episodes? Both leaked, and I thought were damn good! Unfortunately, I'm going to have to disagree with you about Seinfeld... I know that the premise is its nothingness, and that theme is carried on in Curb, but I've always found Seinfeld just too dry for me. I also think Seinfeld himself is the least interesting character in the show, strangely enough.

You betcha! I don't get Comedy Central here. I searched the digital box for any new Futurama episodes & came up with bubkiss. So, I searched on the lovely torrent sites & found both episode leaks. It's great they are back on TV.

Seinfeld show was totally creative, just like Futurama! Only 2 show's I used to watch on TV. Curb cam out on HBO, commercial free & totally uncensored, took Larry to a whole new level. Love him or hate him, he is the best! Wish I knew somebody like that here & hanged out with. I agree Seinfeld himself wasn't an interested character in the show. George was my favorite character!

PM sent... but how could any Seinfeld fan not like Curb, really, when you consider that George Costanza is more or less Larry David. Also... you watch Arrested Development? Always reminds me of Curb, maybe even funnier just because of how absurd it is.

Agreed about Curb. I just finished watching all the episodes as I was late getting into the series. Best show on TV. Can't wait for Season 8 this fall.

I will only strive to be like Larry David after I'm married or something. Till then, I'll play as relationship George Costanza!

Doug Ellin didn't really clarify what Eddie was doing or why he wasn't available. But he did say Bono ended up recording the part twice, from somewhere in Europe, after the first version wasn't what they were looking for.

I'm glad this turned into how amazing Larry David is and not how lame it would have been if Ed did this.
