Anyone know why they distribute tickets so early (See below)

There will be an early entry for Ten Club ticket holders. Early entry will start promptly at 6:15pm (1815 hours). Security will be present to guide you should you have any questions. Ticket distribution will begin at 3pm (1500 hours) from the Ten Club ticket windows and will end at 9:15pm (2115 hours).

Is there any chance of being allowed in earlier than 6.15 ??

  • Ben I have no idea about getting in earlier. Me and my friend have ten club tickets but we are in the seating area. I think its a case of playing it by ear and see what happens dude. There are pre show drinks somewhere in dublin though not sure where yet

I've heard that sometimes the band will let fans in very early for a meet n greet or even to hear the soundcheck.

I've never heard of that happening. The ticket distribution has always been that early, since there are thousands of tickets to be collected.

  • Ben that would be awesome to meet P.J before the show. I thought Eddie would be a bit on edge about meeting fans after the stalker incident though. And the fan who nicked his lyrics book. Hey ho! meeting the great man would be a dream come true, don't know what I'd say to him and them though I'd probably be like a girl at a boyband concert and make a dick of myself

No it's not my first show. I saw footage on U tube taken by a fan who got early entry and were treated to a few private songs.

Hope yis all had an awesome show. I know I fucking did. Turned up at the venue at 2.50pm with my mate Mark. Stood in line at box office. I noticed tour buses parked up in full view so took a nosey. Ended up talking to one of the drivers for a min. So as soon me and my mate had our tix we mooched around to the security gate. Few fans were there. A roadie got off the bus, and when we all said hey, he handed out a few plectrums. We were all chuffed. I asked one of the security guys if we were wasting our time hanging about, and he was like "its your life". 2 mins later the security gate opened and a blacked-out mercedes mini bus pulls in. Could barely see anything through the wondows, except a guy wearing a baseball cap. (Jeff? I dared not think it). Doors open and.... Matt, Mike, Stone, Boom, Eddie and Jeff all get off. Legs are turning to jelly at this stage.

Stone walked straight on into the venue, but Mike was straight over to sign stuff. I got my ticket signed by him and had a good 40-50 second conversation with him, asking him how the show the night before was for him and his sound beiing okay. Then Eddie came over and i shook his hand and asked him to thank the band for the last 20 years (i was fierce nervous right?!?) and also shook Matt's hand. He told me to be careful and not shake his hand off!

And with that they were gone. Me and my bro in arms, went back to town for some beers on such a high. Then when we got back to the venue around 6.15 we got right up the front bar one row. Big up to the lad from Bandon, the 3 girls from the USA and the other guy and girl from Dublin. We were right in front of Mike and as usual he gave it his all. So much interaction, and I got a good few nods and recognition of our earlier encounter. And also another plectrum. It was such an amazing show, even better than Dublin.

    Peace

    Johnny
