Thanks for the relay.
Almost got a heart attack when Clash cover first reported, then slightly dissapointed (big fan).
But then a NEW SONG! Completely giddy here. Something to savour for days. Cannot wait to hear it, and than to see how it evolves. I'll stop now.
They will play it on every show in Europe, I am sure. Lucky bastards who will hear it live.0 -

back in the hotel right now, just a short summary: great crowd, good setlist with some (big) surprises - loved to hear kick out the jams, lukin - not for you... new song was introduced by ed: '... so new it's not even a song yet...' (or something close to that), cool clash cover, the energy at the encores was intense, mikes tag on YL made it a perfect finish.... off to sleep now, can't wait for tomorrow...0
-
no idea what the curfew was ... ed mentioned that there was a strict one during the first encore .. they finished at 11pm sharp so that felt like the curfew for me... didn't see anyone falling from the balcony (but had my eyes directed to the stage, so I might have missed that...)0

Funny, I was the opposite ... I heard Clash cover and I got excited. Then I heard is was Strummer/Mescaleros song and I freaked out ... fantastic choice of a tune!!!"You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91
"I don't believe in damn curses. Wake up the damn Bambino and have me face him. Maybe I'll drill him in the ass." --- Pedro Martinez0 -

Two Feet has a nice write-up, among other stuff lyrics to 'Aberdeen', too.

Ok, cool, I gettya! 'Arms Aloft in Aberdeen'.
Yes I like 2ft - the real question is who's gonna get us the quickest listenable mp3s - I can't bear to hear it on Youtube - you may as well have a tincan with a piece of string going into the venue! (old schoolboy method of telegraphy!)
Really I should try and remember the fansites I used to go on. Have a feeling there is a pointer saved in my Private messages!

Thanks, that was brilliant. Just what the doctor ordered! Good reminder of the necessary true grit.
Jaysus, Ed looks fit enough to go 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Nice hair too! - kinda reminds me of myself these daysI think I'm almost ready to buy myself a pair of brown corduroy jeans - tho probably couldn't get away with them at a gig!
