One American's opinion doesn't represent the entire USA, nor do the actions of a few Brits represent the entire UK.

The flag-burning Brits should aim their anger at the club owners who sell to the highest bidder instead of those who may have the team's best interests at heart.

I hadn't read the thread but I've been and checked it out now - would have posted in it, but I think I missed the boat there.

Think everyone who posted back pointed out that all Brits aren't like that and they covered the BP thing.

    No worries :D

ok but you should also realize it wasn't just our country, the us, that defeated the germans, other countries were fighting them on other fronts that if they hadn't it's very questionable that just the us would've defeated them.

especially with companies like GE doing business (ie selling munitions) with germany even AFTER we got involved. and companies that weren't involved in the war like coca-cola, who created fanta to sell in germany so customers in the allied countries wouldn't know they were making money from the nazi's. i guess what i'm saying is not only was it not JUST our country that ended WWII, though we certainly were a big part, but there were plenty of our (influential) countrymen who had no problem making money off of them, like bush's grandfather
    don't compete; coexist

what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

"I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank." - Barack Obama

when you told me 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'
i was thinkin 'death before dishonor'

You have to have control to lose it. I don't think ours has ever had it.
