That's actually not a bad idea. I'm not going to NY, but if I was I would totally consider splitting a bus. It beats driving by yourself in NY of all places and paying for crazy parking prices. You could probably arrange a group hotel rate too.
Good luck recruiting. It would be a fun time travelling to NY with a bus full of Toronto PJ fans.0 -
lol yeah now the long trek of recruits, i'll leave the thread open to any of those who want to reply, or pm me. i was looking at hotel rates also which will be a bitch especially in new york.0

Porter Air
$305 round trip tax included
I have a good friend who lives in Manhattan
MSG HERE I COME0 -
BeerBaron, whats going on man!
Toronto to Newark [I believe] but I hear its only about 20-30min from MSG.
A travel buddy or two can really help the cost of the cab fair.
Either way, somethings just have to be done.0 -

Be careful with that. Many companies have unlimited for Canada or province only. Doesn't always apply to the U.S. Also parking can be very expensive. Learned that lesson in Chicago. $40 a dayToronto 96, Barrie 98, Toronto 00, Toronto 03, Ottawa 05, Toronto 05, Toronto 06, Toronto 06, Denver 06, Denver 06, Chicago 07, New York 08, New York 08...I'm just getting started0 -

driving is an option but you gotta account for at least $30 per night parking and um driving in the big city is kinda nutty...
flying into newark isnt a problem...last time i did that it was a cheap bus ride(<$20) to and from nyc from that airport0 -

It's unlimited miles in both Canada and the U.S...
I have family in the NYC area, so I usually just park the car there and take the MTA into Manhattan...2003: Buffalo, Toronto

That is the route I often take. It's about 20 or 30 buck more then westjet. But you don't have the hassle of going to Pearson. Free shuttle from union and you are in the air before you know it with a beer in one hand and a sandwich in the other.Toronto 96, Barrie 98, Toronto 00, Toronto 03, Ottawa 05, Toronto 05, Toronto 06, Toronto 06, Denver 06, Denver 06, Chicago 07, New York 08, New York 08...I'm just getting started0 -
Not dealing with Pearson sounds good!
Wheres the Airport?0 -

Toronto Island. Right DowntownToronto 96, Barrie 98, Toronto 00, Toronto 03, Ottawa 05, Toronto 05, Toronto 06, Toronto 06, Denver 06, Denver 06, Chicago 07, New York 08, New York 08...I'm just getting started0 -
On the Island, wow, that could be convenient!0

hey sorry guys i forgot about the thread for a few hours, and actually excited about the people responding. alright i checked greyhound's tickets and it was my mistake i checked off one way, the round trip is $162. my mistake, renting a car is an option also, i would pitch for gas, although thats a bitch in itself. has anybody checked for hotels in the area? or hostels?0
-
Damn, I'm so glad I checked this thread. I was planning to drive down to Buffalo to catch a flight to NYC for ~$150....but it's way more convenient to fly from the Island Airport for the extra $50. Are these planes the small Cesnas?"uncanny and immutable"0
