Why isn't Breath played a lot?

Why isn't Breath played a lot? Anyone know or have a clue why?
It's only been played 60 times and only once in England, in 1992! It's an awesome song, one of my favourites :) Please Pearl Jam, play it at London 8-) Then my life will be complete! :P :mrgreen:

    Probably because they mess it up every time they play it. I don't know why, but they seem to.

    I've often wondered if the band even like the song...

    They don't play it all that often, and when they do...it's kind of lackadaisical and frankly kind of "phoned in"

    I love hearing the band play it regardless...but listen to recent performances of "Breath" and compare that to let say circ 91' and 92' ...It's night and day...

    Regretfully, it comes across like a boring cover song at this point...

    But what can you expect from an 18 year old B-side?

    I guess it's only natural for the band to kind of shrug it off.

    I wouldn't be suprised if they actually despise the song and all of us ungrateful yobos who hold up signs for it at every show.

    They'd probably much rather play "Hitchhiker" or "Ghost"

    You know...something more sophisticated :roll:

    That is a good read but it doesn't answer *why* the band doesn't play it much. None of the guys have ever said something publicly like "it's hard to play" or it's too much of a Mother Love Bone song or what?

    It's not a very great live song to be perfectly honest. I don't know why it has lost luster for me. I still get getty hearing the opening riff and then I'm like uhhhh, whats this?
