According to Jeff in his Q/A session, it looks as though PJ will be playing the south in 2009. Congrats!!
Here's what the big fella has to say:

Q:Are there any plans at all for you to tour in support of this record? If so, you can crash at my place in Omaha. My wife will make you delicious breakfast burritos in the morning....and I will help.

Jeff:I love a good breakfast burrito, but I shan’t be playing any shows this year….maybe down the road sometime. I travel too much doing shows with the band anyway. I haven’t been to the south in awhile, so I’m looking forward to playing some PJ shows down there next year.

You know.... I'm from Kentucky and really want them to come down here (somewhere) soon. So obviously I want to take care of my selfish self first..... BUT, I can't believe they haven't been back to Seattle (proper) in such a long time..... that just baffles me.

I know, but I think it was Jeff who said they have had a hard time getting a good place to play. Should not be as hard now to get a good deal at the arena since the city was robbed of the Sonics.

They should have a new album out next year, so a tour only makes sense.

I'm happy about the potential of this at least. As much fun as I had traveling to see shows in Asheville and VA Beach, I'm hoping the next time will be a little closer to home. I have friends who have never seen PJ live and want to, but aren't into it enough to travel. A local show would hit the spot. Not getting my hopes up though.

  • Real quick... I want to apologize for some of my STUPID IGNORANT UGLY DEER-HUNTIN' GAY-HATIN' WARMONGERIN' SISTER-DIDDLING LOW I.Q. SO CALLED STATESMEN down here in the state of Fl.

I always catch Pearl Jam in WPB and I'd immensely enjoy the oppurtunity to do so again in '09.

(Actually we had a pretty good, appreciative crowd in WPB in '03 and '08, but those F$@&ers are always in evidence 'round here)

So, I promise, if Pearl Jam comes here I will personally declare hunting season open on stupid rednecks who only want to hear jeremy. Furthermore, I will shoot the first one myself.

    Peace.
