I love the "Crazy Mary" solo during live performances latley, within battle against Boom Gaspar...kewl!

    I don't know where it ranks but mike brought out the behind the head solo for "WHY GO" in Bristow. it was very badass

    Agreed. Evenflow is the obvious one, perhaps, but the Black solos are the heart and soul of Mike. I never tire of them.

    There's far too many too mention but when he nails any song the world seems a better place! :mrgreen: All Or None at Benaroya, Black from Live On Two Legs, Alive in Milan 06, Nothing As It Seems anywhere in 2000 especially the Nurnburg show already mentioned. Mike is definitely God!

    i have a few that i love. any of the immortality ones, berlin 1996, jones beach 3 2000 & mexico 3 from 2003. i just love the way he differs the solo. its amazing. i have to say that mike could never be replaced. as a non PJ fan said to me, 'he gives PJ that edge'. and the fact that he appears to be an absolute gent makes him more amazing. looking forward to those solos in Dublin. Ps the little solo from 'off he goes' at the showbox is fab too

    gotta be this. really dig black from LO2L. Man his tone was so awesome in the 90's. Unplugged Porch is in this discussion as well.
