Toronto -> NYC for MSG 2

I can't believe its really happening!! For years I have put it off or made an excuse to make it to the big apple, and then on a seconds notice bought tickets to MSG 2!! Anyone else from the Toronto area, or Canada heading down? Gonna get into the city Thursday around noon!

Anything I should see or do while there, anything I shouldn't miss? I'll be there till Monday!

I want to go soo bad...thought about making an excuse to leave work early on Friday and hopping a flight for night 2...but the fuckin airlines want like $900 + ! for a return ticket! F- THAT!
My fault for not deciding to do this sooner. Oh wells. It will sting, but there will be other shows and I can live vicariously though my friends.

P.S Tinz...hopefully the Leafs put a better product on the ice for the shitload of money it's gonna cost you to go see them.

for cheap you can take cn rail from toronto to montreal, and then transfer in montreal to amtrak to ny city, it probably be like 16 hour ride or something crazy but it wont be expensive, if you ha booked earlier too you could of took plane to philly or newark, and took amtrak or path train

i took plane to philly from ontario canada, but went to newark show too. i personaly would play early and take aplane it wouldnt cost that much no more than $500 if you book early, but i just dont want to get stuck on a train for 16-20 hours

maybe toronto people can go to buffalo, and take amtrak from buffalo to ny city not sure youd have to check it yourself but that make more sense than going to montreal to ny city

hey Mel, did you try Porter? they're relatively affordable...or if you don't mind taking a bus, you can try Megabus (which is what I did)..

the train from toronto to ny is 13 hours ... why would you goto montreal to pick one up?

anyhoo - it leaves at 8:30 every morning from union ...

Yes I checked Porter and they are actually THE MOST expensive right now. They are looking for over a grand ONE WAY! If I had looked a month ago..ya prob coulda gotten a deal, but a week in advance...no way.
As for the bus...I can't take the day off tomorrow...I can prob get out early but can't miss the whole day.
I've already taken a couple of sick days (legit sick days) and a vacation day. I'm on probation still (got hired on perminant from contract and they made me do probabtion even though I'd already been there 5 months). If I take off too many days too close together it will arouse suspicion and I don't want to give my job any grounds to let me go since they really don't need any right now to begin with.
I'll just have to live vicariously through my friends unless someone has a buddy pass for me. hehehehe
