got 10c tix to MSG 1. we just had a 6 week premy baby Thurs morning, we would feel like douche bag parents going to a show while our 1 week old baby is in the hospital. can't get to NYC to pick up the tix, can't go to the show, what a friggin' bummer. it makes me sad the tix will not get used.

the reality is the concert situation is just a pimple on my ass, because I have a new beautiful new son, and we are so thankful that everything is well.

enjoy the show everybody!!!

this was going to be my babies 2nd PJ experience. He was in the womb at the Spectrum LOL

congrats..maybe 10c can work something out for where you can actually sell them for face to someone and not have to be there..i mean this is something you didnt plan with a premature birth and all..but either way congrats again

    right move ....

give the club a call....maybe you can sell them, transfer them to a buddy...etc. if you give 10C the correct info. I know the rules say no...but this is a unique situation...of course then if you want to play devil's advocate, if they let one do it, they'll have to let everyone...but it's worth a try.

Congrats on the baby...and best of luck! There's nothing better in life :)
    peace,

CONGRATULATIONS! First child? we have a 3 1/2 yr old girl and I promised her i would take her trick or treating last halloween, so i went to Philly3 and blew off Philly4. Its not even a close call; taking my little girl out for halloween was more important than hearing Crown of Thorns (some people on this forum slammed me for that decision). There will be other shows. I'm glad everyone is doing ok - I hope for good health and a speedy release from the hospital!

Six weeks early is doable if you focus on the little guy. :)

My son was six weeks early and he's been perfectly healthy. ;)

inherent cost in purchasing a ten club ticket. If and when life happens and you can't go as planned, you lose your money. The benefit is supposed to outweigh that cost. better tickets or just tickets at all... Unfortunatley in ticket department, you are left holding the bag. In the life department, you got Virgil. Fair trade.

Congratulations to you and the family! I hope everyone's healthy and happy! Call 10 club tell them what happened. If that doesn't work PM me. Congratulations again!

so that everyone gets the point. i don't give a shit about the money. i got plenty of that. it just completetly sucks that the tix will be sitting in the box office when somebody else could use them. i would give them away if I could just get up there to pick them up.

  • I can certainly relate. I was 6 months pregnant when I had to miss Randall's Island in 1996 (my first fan club tickets). My pregnancy was high risk and knowing it was general admission it was something I just could not risk (although I labored over it for weeks, no pun intended). My son is now 13 and he is just the best! He may not have been to that concert, but he's been to two since, and my husband and I have been to many. Best of luck to you and your new little one.

If you can't pick them up, maybe you can give someone who looks kinda like your your ID, and if it works, then they pay you. :)

    Congrats!

The baby will be fine (we have two kids) and you will find it even harder to go to shows later on down the road. Go to the show and make sure you pick up the onesie that has the Stickman on it with "I Got Shit" on the backside- it's adorable and a classic!

    Congrats again!

Opps, you're right, I misunderstood that part. My second child was 4 weeks early too and was in for a week so I can relate.

I hope he is out soon and I wish him a healthy life! Your priorities are definitely on target which is great to see these days! Best of luck to all of you!
  • SHIT, my reminder alarm on my phone calendar sounded this morning. like I need to be reminded that I will not be at The Garden tomorrow. How about Love Boat Captain to open. Just to stick the knife in a little deeper.

  • this was the day that 2 hours of online ticket purchasing chaos was going to pay off. Instead I'll be sitting at home watching the relay and wishing I was there.

this is must be a sign

that at the prime age of 42 it is time for me to give up going to concerts?

or my newborn son will pick up my guitars by the age of 3 and he and his older sister will grow up to form a rock-n-roll band to Rival(some pun intended) Pearl Jam and will tour for 25 years to sold out arenas around the world.
