Green River To Perform At SP20
The legendary Green River will be reuniting and performing at SP20, the Sub Pop Records 20th anniversary festival, at Marymoor Park on Sunday, July 13th! Formed in 1984 and broken up by the end of 1987, members of Green River included Mark Arm, Jeff Ament, Steve Turner, Stone Gossard, Bruce Fairweather, and Alex Vincent - all six of whom will be performing together at SP20. The festival takes place Saturday July 12th and Sunday July 13th and will also feature performances by Flight of the Conchords, Mudhoney, Wolf Parade, Iron & Wine, The Vaselines, and a whole lot more. You should totally come. Single-day tickets and 2-day passes are available at TicketMaster. Couldn't make it cuz it was in Ponatic which is at least an hour away and hubby had to work the next day... yeah kicking ourselves. :(
We did talk about how great it would be going up to Seattle again for the subpop anniversary and would have loved to see another appearance with Sleater-Kinney.
But no money...no trip. Booo....

?? Marymoor Park?
Well, anywhere around Seattle is nice. And Marymoor's 15 mins from my house, even better. Hope to see some fellow PJ fans there!

Its where we used to hang out when the band was out of town.;)

One of my friends even got married there. ( I went for the Arboretum )
Baseball games as soon as it was light after staying up all night, parties on the slough- but every time I go there I tear up, because it reminds me of a good friend, who drowned in Lake Sammamish a long time ago.
I still really miss him.
He loved rock music ( he was a tech for Rail, a popular band when Mike was in school
There is a activity field in his honor.
Peter McNair activity field
But it is a great park & nice place for a birthday party.
