Hello!
Im off to NYC in 40 days (not that im counting or anything...)
ive been twice before, but havent been able to find any decent record stores. now, i know they MUST exist, but new yorks a big place.
i found bleeker bobs on bleeker street last time and got a couple of vinyls, but i have no idea where the cool shops are, a decent indie record store would be nice, even a decent major (im assuming that virgin has closed in times square, is that a new record store now?)
anyway, ANY help would be good, and i do mean ANY!
thanks in advance!

The Village is where you want to be. Also, if you are there for a few days and don't mind the train trek, I looooove the Princeton Record Exchange. They have hundreds of records and CDs for 2-3 bucks

jesus, that place looks awesome!
the biggest record store i ever went to was ameoba in san fran, although it must be said, the stock wasnt all that, but the place was massive, like an aircraft hanger!
