I like SOUNDGARDEN more than Pearl Jam

I LOVE PJ but Soundgarden is way better!
I also like AIC a wee more then PJ.
PJ rule but Soundgarden....C'mon!!!!

    I've thought about this one a lot.

    I think they are all on par in terms of studio work with maybe SG and PJ edging infront slightly.

    AIC are bloody good but they didn't quite release enough material to fully say the are par with the above two, but we all know Layne fucking owned and they have written some crazily good stuff are incredibly diverse i.e. Jar of Flies.

    But away from the studio is where it changes (i've heard hundreds of live shows from each of the 3 bands) and AIC were pretty rigid and with their setlists (and now very rigid) but Soundgarden shook it up a lot and there were some amazing improv moments were Chris, Kim and Matt just went off on one. And we all know how PJ are live so i don't need to tell you.

    meh don't really like SG or AIC.. I like bands as much as pj (wilco, mmj etc) but PJ is my equal fav band.

    I like a couple bands more than I do Peal Jam, too. For me though, soundgarden fall slightly below pj.

    As much as I love Soundgarden and their entire catalogue Cornell's voice is too inconsistent and when it's off it doesn't sound good at all. Alice In Chains have a great catalogue and were exceptional live with Layne but Pearl Jam have diversity in their setlists, some classic albums, choose great covers and Ed's voice still sounds pretty good when he isn't 100% (see Sydney 09 for evidence). Each to their own though and I do love all these bands but PJ are on top for me. :D

    i dont like soundgarden more there a great band and one of my favs but not in my top 5

    i do like aic better then pj though just by a tiny hair
