    no - but I have seen the picture, and as we found out the hard way, through a little PJ confiscation, drawing a copyrighted photo is also an infringement! - believe it or not!

    What was your item that was confiscated? Isn't a drawing inherently different from a photo, making it hard to prove it was copied? Just curious.

    What CJMSTK said, it would be very difficult to prove..I guess thats somewhat of a greenlight for ripoff artists. tear it up

    we had some street art contributed for the Toronto preparty which weren't sold and were then taken back for the band to sign for the Halifax preparty that were then confiscated by the 'PJ people' because they were drawings of licensed photos - WHO KNEW!

    they have sort of a merch police

    :)

    Were those the black & white photos placed in thin clear & huge white back boarders that were selling outside the Air Canada Centre back in '05? They were all on the floor. I bought a few before the preparty & took it back to the hotel. Course Pearl Jam wouldn't sign on top of those because it's not one of their works. It's somebody elses. If it was an Offical Pearl Jam photo, poster or merchandise, they will sign it.

    yeah, that was them - they were amazing but all recognizable from pictures I had seen - didn't realize there was a licensing issue - I felt bad that someone was able to get them that far for the Halifax party to have them taken away but what can you do

    That sucked. They didn't even give them back? Kinda hursh. Atleast they could of done was sign something else. Something that was close by them that had Pearl Jam related on it so the band could sign. :(

    I had a great time @ Split Crow back in '05 where the preparty was held @ Halifax. I first got messages on the other board that the preparty was up by Brunswick Street, by the Pizza joint. Then things were moved. Hopefully they come back to Halifax! Will be oganizing the preparty, afterparty & the night before party care of the D! 8-)
