I'd love official releases as well. Too much yelling/bad sound on the current ones.

I know for a fact they were recorded, but I don't know why they haven't been released. I would definately buy them. Maybe we could start an online petition.

    nah
they wont be released because there is a movie soundtrack available for sale
they dont want live versions of the movie soundtrack for sale at the same time
they allow ed to play them live, but commercial distribution is strictly prohibited under the terms of the license agreement for the songs- I think it was the studio copyright police that were ordering that vids and recordings be taken off the net-not the 10c

but thats just masturbatory speculation on my part ;)

That would be great if he did. Play @ the old theatres of Europe. Ancient theatres @ Italy & Greece. Great outdoor events. Would love to hear the acoutic sounds underneath the stars. Gotta make this happen.

Yeah, I'll put in a vote for this idea.
Laddie, love the Gordon Lightfoot shout-out!
What're the odds of PJ performing
'The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald' next time
    they're in T-dot?
    Cheers.
'Cause you don't give blood and take it back again.
  • it's not gonna happen. he played too many covers and it would be a major pain to get all the clearances and cut deals with the artists. it would probably ending up costing him $ with what would have to be paid out.

i see i'm a little late on this one but just cuz i haven't written about it doesn't mean i haven't thought about it way too much. i was at the eddie solo shows in toronto august 2008 and only was ever able to find a recording of the first night. i NEED the second night. i almost dirtied my pants when he started playing 'believe you me' and if there's anyone out there that knows where i can find this, i'm begging...
